Windows 10 updates have been pretty worrying for Microsoft in the past. With the initial Windows 10 updates, some Windows 10 users experienced many issues during the upgrade process. Microsoft addressed some of the issues with last year’s Windows 10 Anniversary Update which the company rolled out gradually to users. With the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft wants to make the update process much better and smoother for users.
In a blog post today, Microsoft detailed some of the new features Microsoft is adding to Windows 10 which will allow users to get the best experience with the upgrade process. Firstly, Microsoft is going to notify users when the new Windows 10 Creators Update is ready to be released, and notify them about the changes to privacy settings in the OS. Windows 10 users will be able to review their privacy settings right from the dialog, which is pretty neat. Additionally, when users start installing the new update, they will be able to modify the privacy settings from the new OOBE in the Windows 10 Creators Update.
Microsoft is also going to notify users when the Windows 10 Creators Update is ready for their machine. The company doesn’t want Windows to automatically install the Creators Update at a random time, which is why it will allow users to choose a time for the upgrade. Users will be able to install the update instantly, pick a time for it, or get notified about the update at a later time.
