If you've just started watching Teen Wolf or The Maze Runner or you're wondering who that hottie is in Season 2 Episode 23 of New Girl, then I have the answer for you.

It's Dylan O'Brien.

If you're worried that now you've seen him once and now feel compelled to watch everything he's ever been in makes you insane, then it does, but it's okay, it happens to all of us and this article is here the help you through it.

Here's everything you need to know about Dylan O'Brien.

Dylan was born in New York and grew up in New Jersey until the age of twelve, when him and his family moved to California. At the age of 14 Dylan began to upload original Youtube videos. You may know him for singing such hits as 'Wannabe' by 'Spice Girls'.

Although his Youtube videos may seem all in good humor, they were actually the making of the Dylan O'Brien we all know today. It was through watching his videos that he was approached by a local producer and director to star in a webseries. During the webseries was when he met an actor who introduced him to a manager.

You really never know what's just round the corner. (Or what a rendition of Wannabe can do for you.)

2011 was a big year for Dylan as, after many auditions, he got a lead roll in MTV's Teen Wolf, a TV adaptation of the 1985 film starring Michael J. Fox. He was originally called to audition for the role of Scott McCall but after reading the script he decided that Stiles Stilinski was more up his street and auditioned for that part instead. I think I can speak for all Teen Wolf fans when I say that both Dylan and the casting director made the right decision with that one, as Dylan is the perfect Stiles.

Also, in 2011 he starred in the film High Road alongside Ed Helms (The Hangover, We're the Millers) and Rob Riggle (Modern Family, The Hangover, 21/22 Jump Street and any other late night comedy you can think of), about a drug dealer on the run with a 16 year old boy who thinks the police are following him but it's in fact just the kids dad and his fake police officer friend. Everyone loves a road-trip comedy and the film actually has a really good cast but unfortunately it was a load of rubbish and was more like a disturbing documentary. If this article was a review of just this film, I would give it half a gold star and recommend you never waste your time watching it.

Teen Wolf was a hit and was renewed for a second season which aired on June 3rd 2012. Also in 2012, Dylan played the character of Dave in the film The First Time, about two school kids who fall head over heels in love with each other over the space of one weekend. The film itself is cute but slow, but it's difficult to stop watching as Dylan is just to die for.

This is the part of the article that is going to break your heart, so be prepared.

In the film, Dylan starred alongside actress Britt Robertson and the two actually fell head over heels for each other off-screen as well and they have been together ever since.

Once again, Season 2 of Teen Wolf captured a world wide audience and on July 12th 2012 it was renewed for a 3rd Season consisting of 24 episodes, which premiered on June 3rd 2013.

Also in 2013, Dylan starred in an episode of New Girl. He played the role of 'The Guy' who serenaded Jess in the hallway on prom night and who she happened to bump into in a bar years later. After Jess planned on losing her virginity to him, they both ended up stuck in a kids castle in a park and 'The Guy' realizes that he's Gay. Leading to Jess sleeping with the Fireman who cut them both loose instead. After the mediocre roles that Dylan had been cast in over the last couple of years, this small part was just what he needed to show that he can be more than just Teen Wolf's Stiles Stilinski.

Things were only getting better for Dylan outside of Teen Wolf, as also in 2013 he landed a role in The Internship alongside Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers, Delivery Man) and Owen Wilson (Marley & Me, Night at the Museum Trilogy), in which he played a character named Stuart who, alongside two laid off salesman, competed in tasks in order to land an internship at Google. Again, this was just what Dylan needed for his IMDb profile. The film is full of humor and depicts the way that the older generation view the internet and technology in general.

Teen Wolf hit a new high on ratings in 2013 and on June 23rd 2014 they premiered their fourth season. This meant that Dylan had been playing the part of Stiles Stilinski for going on 4 years and others were beginning to notice his talents.

In 2014 Dylan played the lead role of Thomas in The Maze Runner, a film adaptation of the book of the same name by James Dashner. The film was a hit and Dylan was listed on Yahoo! Movies 15 Breakout Stars to watch for in 2014. The same year that he won Choice TV Villain at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards and Breakthrough Actor at the Young Hollywood Awards.

In 2015, Dylan really began to reap the rewards for both his leading roles (The Maze Runner and Teen Wolf). He was nominated for numerous awards and won Best Breakthrough Performance, Best Fight and Best Hero at the MTV Movie Awards for his role in The Maze Runner, as well as winning Choice TV: Scene Stealer at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards for his role on Teen Wolf.

Later in 2015, Dylan starred in the Sequel to The Maze Runner - Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, which was enjoyed by it's loyal fan base but unfortunately wasn't as successful when it came to award nominations.

This brings us up to date.

This year you can expect to see Dylan in Season 6 of Teen Wolf which premieres on June 18th 2016. According to the shows writer Jeff Davis, viewers can expect to see progression in the relationship between Dylan's character Stiles and Lydia Martin, played by actress Holland Roden. This is big news for fans of the show as they have been rooting for the two characters to get together since Teen Wolf started in 2011.

Later in the year, you will be able to see Dylan in Deepwater Horizon, the true story about the offshore drilling rig, which exploded during April 2010 and created the worst oil spill in U.S. history. This is the first film that Dylan will have starred in which is based on a true story and he will be acting alongside Mark Wahlberg (Ted, The Fighter).

Dylan is also set to star in the third installment of The Maze Runner series - Maze Runner: The Death Cure but production was postponed due to Dylan being in an accident on set last month. The film will start production again as soon as he is well enough to work and is due for release in 2017.

So, in conclusion, this is everything you need to know about Dylan O'Brien up until now and it's only taken you approximately 4 minutes and 14 seconds to catch up.
