After a very underwhelming Season Four, the cast and crew of Arrow have promised a very grounded Season Five and say the show will be going back to it's Season One and Two roots. This means more action and less romance which has been promised, but Stephen Amell has promised that something else will be coming back to Arrow; Death.

Earlier today on Twitter, a fan tweeted Amell asking what we can expect from Arrow Season Five. The answer? The fist and skull emoji. Now for those that are not clued up with their emoji knowledge, the fist emoji means a fight, and the skull emoji signifies death. So what death could Amell teasing?

Oliver Forgets His 'No Kill' Rule, Again!

The end of Season Four saw Oliver kill Damian Darhk in a move that mirrored Laurel Lance's murder earlier in the season. It's always strange to see Oliver kill someone ever since he decided that he would never take a life again. Although one has to wonder; Will Oliver go back to his old ways?

Oliver has had his life turned upside down since the start of Season Four and after having his (ex) fiancee crippled, temporarily, and seeing his best friend Laurel killed in front of her, you have to wonder if he will finally break? One of the positive aspects of Arrow last year was the brutality of Oliver, so one has to wonder if the writers would make him break his role.

Oliver's Bratva Tales

Yes, the flashbacks are making a return but with them confirmed to be following Oliver during his time in Russia, they are sure to be interesting. It is confirmed that we will be finding out why Oliver snapped a mans neck in the series premier before saying "No one can know my secret" so it is apparent that Russia will have a dark and violent story.

With Oliver still snapping necks and dropping bodies in between the flashbacks and Season One, I would expect there to be a lot of deaths in gold old Mother Russia.

Curtis' Husband

Echo Kellum has confirmed that Curtis will become Mister Terrific sometime during the course of Season Five. While many believe he will become the tech support for the team that looks not be the case with Felicity being the remaining member of Team Arrow. The logical choice would be for him to join Team Arrow as the teams latest crime-fighter, but that would mean that his husband will most likely die.

In the comics, Mister Terrific decides to become a crime-fighter after the death of his family. With Curtis confirmed to become Terrific, things don't look too good for the Holts. The death of his husband in the season premier will push him to join Team Arrow straight from the get go, and with the series having a more dark approach, it would be great to see Curtis go out and kick some ass.

Whether it be a big death or just some Russian thugs, seeing Arrow go back to its roots is a welcome change. After a season of pathetic optimism that just didn't work, some death and darkness is exactly what's need to bring Arrow back to it's glory days. Although, it would be funny if the death Amell is referring to is the metaphorical death of 'Olicity', but with Marc Guggenheim confirming that Oliver will get back together with Felicity, I doubt that will happen.
