Ever wanted to walk into a room like a fully-fledged badass and leave the crowd in awe? Have you wanted to enter a room and have all eyes on you, or ever wanted to make an entrance and mic-drop like a boss? Well, take notes and pointers from this crop of cool characters who turn up onscreen and do just that!

From action packed entrances, effortless and comedic appearances as well as some truly stupendous entrances that pack a punch, check out this list and maybe even plan your own awesome entrance:

1. Wonder Woman - Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Despite negative reviews, a lot of critics and audiences praised Gal Gadot's performance as Diana Prince a.k.a Wonder Woman, who forms an alliance with Batman and Superman to take on Lex Luthor's Doomsday in the climax of Dawn of Justice. Even though we see Gadot as Diana Prince earlier on in the film, it's the moment Gal Gadot dons the costume and leaps into frame which really gets the blood pumping and the excitement building.

Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL's guitar-riff and frantic drum filled fit for a warrior style soundtrack compliments her entrance incredibly well, it is the ultimate mic-drop kind of entrance and Gal Gadot looks fierce, ready to take no prisoners and dish out the pain. I'm hoping this epic musical score features in 2017's Wonder Woman solo film.

2. Rita Vrataski - Edge of Tomorrow

Emily Blunt IS "The Full Metal Bitch" in Doug Liman's 2014 sci-fi epic Edge of Tomorrow. Tom Cruise is a coward thrust into war on the front line, doomed to live the same day over and over again. Whilst we can't deny Tom Cruise's screen presence, it's British star Emily Blunt who steals the show as Rita Vrataski, a battle-hardened warrior whose appearance means serious business!

Cruise's Lt. Bill Cage finds himself vulnerable and laying on the ground, looking onwards to see a woman slicing aliens to pieces with a modified helicopter blade. Talk about brutal and badass? Vrataski comes out on top in her fight, standing proud and tall looking down at Cage, only then to be hit by an alien meteor. In her next entrance, she walks out of a crashed dropship and looks out onto the beach armed and ready. Wearing no helmet and getting ready for battle, this is one way to make an impression!

3. Deckard Shaw - Furious 6

Did anyone see this coming at the end of Furious 6? I certainly didn't. After the credits, all seems great for Toretto and his family. That is until the film starts up again and jumps to Tokyo amidst a street race. Han's car is wiped out and flipped over by another car. Out of the car steps a furious and vengeful looking Jason Statham playing Deckard Shaw, the brother of Owen Shaw who was taken out by Toretto and co. Shaw is captured from a low-angle shot and made to look even more badass and terrifying than ever!

Statham barely blinks and walks away from an exploding wreckage like a boss before dropping a threatening line to Toretto. This is why we love Statham.

4. Tauriel - The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

The first female character in The Hobbit Trilogy shows up and boasts her insane archery skills. Tauriel, played by the beautiful Evangeline Lilly, comes tearing in running down a tree firing dozens of well-aimed arrows at a legion of enormous spiders. She barely blinks as she slices and dices the creepy crawlies, right before setting her sights on the dwarves. With such ease and grace, you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of this elf, which is immediately realised.

5. Project Alice - Resident Evil Afterlife

Milla Jovovich is hands down one of the best actresses when it comes to action films. She has this witty charisma and the action chops that command the screen. She is well known for her role as Project Alice in the Resident Evil franchise, a superhuman with abilities like no other. In the fourth film, Afterlife, these abilities explode onto the screen in a noisy assault of beautiful chaos.

Stepping out of the shadows and into the light, enter Alice, who creeps up on unsuspecting guards and uses throwing weapons, swords and guns to take out her opponents. Jovovich is fierce and it's a blast to see her back as this kick-ass warrior, four films in and this is the kind of entrance you need for things to feel fresh and to make you want to follow her character on her zombie-slaying adventures.

6. The Old T-800 - Terminator Genisys

Terminator Genisys was bashed by critics. I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt here because I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially when Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his entrance as an aged Terminator. The original Terminator is a sci-fi classic, but I have to say, I got chills and I totally geeked out when Arnie walks into frame, pulls down his hoodie and unloads a shotgun on the T-800 so casually. Five films in, it's still thrilling to see Schwarzenegger reprise his role as the unbeatable machine.

Samuel L.J Fury - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury comes back from the dead. Can it get anymore badass than that? When shit hits the fan, Fury makes his way back into the game, surprising Robert Redford's seedy Alexander Pearce. Plus we finally get to see his eye after several Marvel movies. Need I say more?

8. Leatherface - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

Much like my mention of Terminator Genisys and the original, the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a classic and always will be with its grit and pure shock. However, in another remake about the deranged killer, Leatherface gets an absolute whopper of an entrance, it's the editing and look of fear on the characters and how intimidating Leatherface looks, all this comes together to create a terrifying appearance.

Jessica Biel and Mike Vogel are two teens in the wrong place at the wrong time. As they stand facing away from a giant metal door, it suddenly slides wide open and standing behind it is Leatherface, he turns on his chainsaw and lets rip as he chases after the two terrified teens. He is merciless, enormous and vicious and from this moment you are terrified of the violent giant. What a way to introduce this iconic horror character.

9. Godzilla - Godzilla

Wow. Gareth Edwards knows how to build-up and then unleash his monsters, unlike his directorial debut film Monsters which really sucked, his remake of Godzilla finds the director at his absolute best, especially when the titular character is revealed in all his mighty glory. During an explosive and incredibly tense build-up, Godzilla stomps onto screen and everything goes quiet. As the camera pans up, the subterranean beast stands tall and lets out a ground-breaking, earth shattering roar that has to be experienced on a serious sound system. An hour into the film and you get your first full glimpse and it's worth it for one of the coolest, most awe-inspiring entrances ever.

10. The Chestburster - Alien

Alien and Aliens hold up to this day thanks to terrific practical effects and some truly terrific tense moments. The introduction to the Chestburster is one of the most memorable scenes of the entire franchise, as it's the first glimpse of the alien itself and it splatters onto screen with such surprise, as the cast of the film didn't expect the alien to come bursting through actor John Hurt's chest. The real reactions, punchy sound design and shock still work wonders today, what a tremendously violent entrance for these deadly otherworldly creatures.

11. Honey Ryder - Dr.No

Yet another iconic cinematic moment that introduced us to the first Bond girl played by the stunning Ursula Andress, as her ballsy and witty character Honey Ryder emerges from the sea and gives Bond a run for his money fighting against his cheeky charm. Although we had Halle Berry's Jinx do the same in Die Another Day, it's Andress' entrance that remains a highlight of the entire Bond franchise and a great character introduction.

12. Bane - The Dark Knight Rises

"Well perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man, before throwing him out of a plane". Oh Tom Hardy, can you do no wrong? Hardy is Bane, the primary antagonist in The Dark Knight Rises, and the British star brings an immediate sense of menace and a sinister tone to the film with his creepy voice, imposing figure and intense glares. The slow push-in camera shot towards Bane's face as the sack is taken off his head is nice and slow, as it edges in perfectly to capture every detail on Bane's breathing mask. This is the first moment you see the villain, before the plane takes a deadly turn in the skies. What a way to introduce one of DC's most powerful baddies.

13. Blondie - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Clint Eastwood is the master of showdowns, stare-downs, threats and the tough-guy look. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is no exception, as Eastwood's Blondie enters with an aura of cool and presence, Eastwood can just walk into frame and leave you hooked, he's magnetic and in this film that very magnetism really pulls you in as he plays The Man With No Name.

14. The Doof Warrior - Mad Max: Fury Road

The mad in the title is The Doof Warrior. A blinded man strapped to a bungee chord with a flamethrower guitar on top of a moving vehicle with dozens of speakers. Accompany that with the epic camerawork that swoops in and pans around the vehicle and you've got a seriously insane and bold entrance that will stick with you long after the film.

15. Helen - Bridesmaids

Rose Byrne is so damn good, in everything, and Bridesmaids finds the Australian actress at her best as Helen, a seemingly perfect women who has it all together and is one of the bridesmaids for Lilian (Maya Rudolph) much to the dismay of main character Annie played by the terrific Kristen Wiig. At the engagement party, Annie is introduced to Helen, who gazes upon Helen as she appears with grace and perfection in a daring dress, with a bright smile and everything seemingly so well put together. The slow motion turn, hilariously over the top dress, the way the crowd watches Helen with envy, she makes her way onto screen with such style it's a sure fire way to make a character memorable.

16. James Bond - Casino Royale

Out of all 24 Bond films, I have finally chosen my favourite entrance for any character in the entire franchise, and it has to be 007 himself in 2006's Casino Royale, as newly promoted Bond earns his 00 status taking out dirty section chief Dryden. The black and white colour palette and moody lighting work beautifully, setting a gritty tone for the film, the dialogue is short but very sharp and the editing is excellent, particularly when Bond shoots Dryden and the bullet whips past his desk photograph. Bond's entrance is simple yet menacing, as he sits in a dark corner of the office watching Dryden, and of course, the gun barrel shot is freaking awesome, letting us know Daniel Craig means business as Bond.

17. The Kraken - Clash of The Titans (2010)

Despite its critical lashing, the 2010 remake Clash of The Titans throws down a mammoth finale with the appearance of the deadly and gargantuan sea monster known as The Kraken. Stunning visuals, Ramin Djawadi's epic score and terrific sound design make this monstrous entrance truly stupendous and quite the spectacle. The roar is enough to break windows if you're playing this at home on speakers, the low angle camera shots gaze up at the size of this monster and as for cinematic roars, this one is mighty.

18. Gracie Hart - Miss Congeniality

Sandra Bullock's rundown, sarcastic and easily irritated cop Gracie Hart goes through quite the transformation into Miss Congeniality in order to take down a terrorist threat. After hours and hours of make-up, hairstyling, waxing and clothing, Hart steps out of an aircraft hangar and owns the screen as this newly transformed sexy secret service agent, and the soundtrack choice perfectly compliments this bold and hugely entertaining character entrance.

19. T-Rex - Jurassic Park

Much like Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, Spielberg's Jurassic Park is a masterpiece of slow-building tension and stunning spectacle. The big bad beasty T-Rex makes its way onto screen with a terrific introduction, as the unlucky humans on the park tour feel the ground shaking, the trees start to creak and shuffle and something is coming for them. Out of the fence crashes the T-Rex, followed by the iconic roar that still sends shivers down my spine and leaves me in awe!

20. Ethan Hunt - Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

Tom Cruise is a madman in the best way, he'll do any stunt to entertain us and boy it's thrilling! In the fifth Mission: Impossible film, we first see Tom Cruise doing what Tom Cruise does best: Running. He runs into screen and observes a giant cargo plane making its way towards a runway. Cruise, as agent Ethan Hunt, defies sanity and leaps onboard the plane, runs across the wings and hangs off the side door of the plane as it takes off. This was done for real, it is a masterclass in stunt-work and of course is the perfect way to re-introduce us to Ethan Hunt being a complete badass and doing something very bold.
