Moodle HQ is running another Learn Moodle MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), which will start on 2 January 2017.

What is Learn Moodle MOOC?

Teaching with Moodle: An introduction, is for anybody who wants to use the Moodle learning platform for teaching, whether it be in a school, a university, a company or just personal interest.

In this 4-week MOOC, learners will explore many of the different functionalities in Moodle, including creating their own quizzes, assignments and many more.

Now is also a great time to join Learn Moodle MOOC and find out how to use all the new and exciting features and improvements that have recently been released in Moodle 3.2.

What is involved?

Learn Moodle MOOC will run for four weeks and will require a commitment of 3 to 4 hours a week.

Moodle’s community educator Mary Cooch and community manager Helen Foster will demonstrate how features and functionalities in Moodle work and how you can use them to empower your learning environments.

Some activities are also included for participants to complete throughout the course and you can also connect, discuss and seek assistance from all participants through a dedicated Learn Moodle forum.

Moodle is a Mozilla Open badges issuer so badges will be awarded for active participation and upon course completion.

Please note there are no fees to participate in a Learn Moodle MOOC.

What are people saying about Learn Moodle MOOC?

We’ve had so many participants comment positively on the Learn Moodle MOOC courses they have attended. Here are some comments we’d like to share:

“I have been testing a few LMS lately and because of this course and also because of this supporting community, I would recommend it for others.”

Lujza Szabó – Hungary

“I’ve been using Moodle in its most basic (as a document repository) for a while but things have clicked and i can’t wait to get started using the features I now know about.”

Keith Tyler – Canada

“I have been very surprised by the scope and depth of Moodle. I was initially expecting it to be no more than a glorified version of PowerPoint for delivering courses with a few videos with images thrown in. How wrong I have I been. I can see the depth and breadth of Moodle is only limited by what users wish to do with it.”

Andrew Greenhalgh – UK
