See Annie Jr. at Showtime Performing Arts Theatre in Boca Raton!
Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Annie JR. features everyone’s favorite little redhead in her very first adventure. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils the evil Miss Hannigan, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Story time and Spooky Snooze at the Palm Beach Zoo!

This popular event takes place at the Zoo’s Conservation Station by the Safari Train and the Wildlife Carousel. Story Time at the Zoo is geared towards encouraging children to connect with wildlife through reading.

Discover the Zoo after hours and meet our creatures of the night! This program is offered in the spring and fall just for families. Participants enjoy animal encounters, a night tour of the zoo, pizza snack, continental breakfast and wild activities! Please note that all overnight programs must be reserved in advance. This program is designed for participants ages 6 and over.

Head over to our Keller Science Theater as we experiment with various salts and chemicals to change the colors of flames inside hydrogen balloons.

22nd Annual Buddy Walk Event
DATE: October 16th
TIME: 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Check–in is at 8:00 a.m.; opening ceremony at 8:45/ walk start at 9:15 a.m.; all activities open 8:00-1:00 p.m.
COST: $20.00 after 10/2; participants may register day of the walk. Fee includes a t-shirt, walk, continental breakfast, and multiple activities for children. Hot dogs, drinks and additional food will be available for a small donation with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Gold Coast.
The Buddy Walk is a Family Fun Event which includes a one mile walk, free breakfast, bounce houses, petting zoo, rock wall, pony rides, young children’s games, face painting, dunk tank, live entertainment, dj and dancing and a raffle and silent auction. The event raises funds for the Gold Coast Down Syndrome’s educational, social and advocacy programs (serving all of Palm Beach County) and promotes awareness of the capabilities and talents of persons with Down syndrome. The walk attracts 2500 people and in 2015 raised over $175,000.

Fall Family Festival at Mounts Botanical Gardens
DATE: October 16th
TIME: 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
COST: FREE for members & children (10 years and under); $5 for nonmember adults
Co-sponsored by the Junior League of the Palm Beaches throughout the Garden.
Mounts Botanical Garden and The Junior League of the Palm Beaches join together once again and present this annual event. Bring the family and celebrate with us through a variety of fun-filled activities. The festival will feature rock climbing, bounce houses, games, hands-on educational displays, music and refreshments. In addition, 4-H will hold an Open House in the Exhibit Halls. Favorite activities include pony rides, face painting, the kiddie train and so much more. Some activities are free and some have a nominal charge.
