This week I have learned:
the satisfaction and relief when you get a client from “prospect” to signed up and in contract. Mostly it’s the relief from worrying if it’ll all get pulled at the last minute for some reason.
how nice it is to catch up with long-lost colleagues. Fraser, it was a delight to see you and I’ll get something else in the diary very soon.
how these debates about in-person or on-site or “IRL” are going to run and run until a new generation has smoothed out the old ways.
what nice feedback my new podcast experiment is getting. It’s all down to the quality of the guests.
sometimes you can just tell things have gotten out of hand but no-one can step back and say “Lads, we’ve messed up here. Can we start again?”
the Art of the Brick thing is quite fun, but it’s a great illustration of when money takes over art.
