I've been following the movements of Chicago rapper Kembe X ever since the music video for "ADD" had me punching through windows. The LA-based artist has been releasing a string of strong singles over the course of the last year, forever teasing his full-length Talk Back. Thankfully, summer '16 is a real one and Talk Back finally came out last month. At fourteen songs (including two bonus tracks), the album does not disappoint.

Kembe proves time and time again that he not only has one hell of an ear for beats, but also bars.for.days. Featuring production from The Antydote, Bentley Hazelwood, Hippie Sabotage and others, cohesion is certainly present. Only a few features stop by, like Alex Wiley and Zacari P. on "Paper". This album will have you flying through red lights, blowing out your mom's speakers, and scribbling bars in your Moleskin. Don't sleep on Kembe X. You can grab the album on Spotify here, or find various loose singles on his SoundCloud here. Even though this album just dropped, something tells me he already has plenty of treats lined up around the corner.
