The Satoshi Roundtable did not reach a consensus on the block size debate, but it did reach a very important agreement.  While it has been mentioned that an agreement to be respectful in the debates on block size and other Bitcoin developments, one of the biggest issues facing the debate over block size and direction of Bitcoin’s development has been the personal attacks and rage directed at those on opposite sides of the issue.  In many cases instead of an open dialogue people would fight and direct insults and invective language towards each other.  By agreeing to start dealing respectfully with each other the hope is that more conversation and progress can be made in furthering Bitcoin development.

There have been many deals, consensus promises and more in the last several months and while most have not lasted the Bitcoin community can hope this one will.  The Satoshi Roundtable participants agreed to this in the following statement.  Listed are all of the people that agree to the pledge and hopefully more will follow suit.  Too much is at stake for infighting and disrespectful behavior to derail continued development of Bitcoin.  The future is bright but it will not come easy.
