Chicago is a popular town in the USA. Chicago’s culture includes efforts to the visual arts, novels, film, theater, especially improvisational comedy, and music, particularly jazz, blues, soul, and house music. The town has many nicknames, which show the views and views about traditional and contemporary Chicago. The best-known include the “Windy City” and “Second City”.



Today, the town is an worldwide hub for finance, business, industry, technology, telecoms, and transport. O’Hare International Airport being the most popular airport in the world. It also has the biggest number of USA roadways and railway freight. In 2012, Chicago listed as an alpha global city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network. Its position was 7th on the globe in the 2014 Global Cities Index.



Grant Park holds Millennium Park, Buckingham Water fall (1927) and the Art Institution of Chicago. The park also hosts the yearly Taste of Chicago event. In Millennium Park, there is the reflective Cloud Gate sculpture. Cloud Gate is a public statue by Indian-born British artist Anish Kapoor. Also, an outdoor cafe converts into an ice rink in the winter time. Two tall glass sculptures make up the Crown Fountain. The fountain’s two towers display visual effects from LED images of Chicagoans’ faces.



Navy Pier in Streeterville, is 3,000 ft long and houses Shopping Malls, restaurants, museums, dexhibition halls and auditoriums. Its 150-foot tall Ferris wheel is one of the most frequented attractions in the Area. Chicago was the first city in the world to ever erect a ferris wheel.

The Willis Tower(Sears Tower) is a popular location for visitors. The Willis Tower has an observation deck open to visitors year long with high up opinions looking over Chicago and Lake Michigan. The observation deck includes an internal glass terrace that expands 10 feet out on the side of the building. Tourists are able to look straight down.

The University of Chicago Oriental Institute has an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian and Near Eastern archaeological artifacts. Other museums and galleries in Chicago include the Chicago History Museum, the Driehaus Museum, the DuSable Museum of African American History, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, the Polish Museum of America, the Museum of Broadcast Communications, the Pritzker Military Library, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, and the Museum of Science and Industry.
