> Josh Davies, CEO FXHOME

New technology can be a risky business in the video production industry. From HD-DVD to 3DTVs they can never be sure which "next-gen" technology will stick.

VR currently asks more questions than it answers... how do you produce high-quality, compelling 360° video content? How will the industry adapt to VR? What can this technology do for them right now?

HitFilm is developing applications utilising VR for creatives to enhance current workflows while building towards the VR content revolution.

About Josh

Founder and CEO of HitFilm Josh Davies has a very specific mission: to bring Hollywood-style visual effects to the masses. HitFilm is one of the leading VFX and video editing software tools in the industry, offering software options for newbie and pro editors alike.

The HitFilm community is almost a million users strong and stretches around the globe to over 100 countries, making professional grade post-production tools accessible to everyone.

3. Augmenting shadow data.

> Peter Abbott, Designer, Foolproof

“We live in a world where form no longer follows function. Ubiquitous and pervasive computing allows for rich environmental data collection. Augmented reality provides a framework for contextually accessing and interacting with this data.”

This talk should cover designing experiences that leverage the current and future state of AR tech.

About Peter

I’ve been described as meticulous, methodical, and occasionally obsessive. Currently a full time designer at Foolproof, I graduated from Norwich University of the Arts in 2016 with a degree in Communication design. Before that I trained as chef for a short time yet still manage to burn my toast every morning…
