Page performance matters. Research consistently shows that better page performance increases conversions and keeps users happier and more engaged. Yet snappy performance can be challenging to deliver as users increasingly use mobile devices and cellular data networks to access the web. This presentation will cover the current landscape of page performance with an emphasis on the tools, tactics, and concepts you need to be aware of when optimizing your application.
About the speaker
Katie Hempenius (@katiehempenius) is a software engineer at Fitbit where she works on bringing personalized fitness coaching to the web. She previously worked on software and infrastructure problems in the defense and healthcare industries. You can follow Katie on her blog at katiehempenius.com
