Important: NEET PG 2017 revised schedule for candidates scheduled to take test on 13/12/2016 at Chennai Test Centres

The conduct of NEET-PG at all Chennai Test Centres on 13 Dec 2016 has been deferred due to inclement weather conditions.

These candidates at Chennai Test Centres will be tested on 16 Dec 2016 (AM session)

The candidates are required to login to their profile at http://www.nbe.prometric.com on 14 Dec 2016 (3:00 PM onwards) and download their admit card with details of the scheduled test and venue.

All medical and dental colleges and universities will take admission on basis of NEET PG 2017 / NEET MDS 2017 respectively. Certain exceptions are like AIIMS (which is conducting AIIMS PG 2017), JIPMER (which is conducting JIPMER PG 2017), and PGI (conducting PGIMER 2017). Apart from them, states such as AP, Telangana and JnK are also to have separate process. Nevertheless, that still leaves a large number of PG medical and dental seats; all through NEET 2017. Hence, if you wish to pursue higher education in medicine and dentistry, appear for NEET PG 2017 or NEET MDS 2017.

The first thing to note is detailed notification. Exam conducting body published this late night on September 20, 2016. All candidates who had been eagerly waiting for official details of NEET PG 2017 may now go through following notification.



NEET MDS 2017 Notification

All who want to study Master of Dental Surgery (or MDS) can now know complete details of NEET MDS 2017. Here is the official notification. This was also released alongside NEET PG 2017 notification. In fact apart from exam dates, rest of the events are simultaneous for both exams.



NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2017

Any candidate who wants to apply for NEET PG 2017 is advised to read eligibility criteria first. This entails certain points with regards to educational qualification mainly. Fill NEET PG 2017 application form only if you are eligible.

You require a MBBS degree / Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from a recognized medical college or institute. A recognized institute means that it is as per provisions of Indian Medical Council and degree is valid.

In addition you also need permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS or equivalent qualification that Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council has issued.

Internship: You are likely to complete one year internship on or before 31 March 2017.

NEET MDS Eligibility Criteria 2017

Similar to eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2017, so are certain guidelines for being eligible for NEET MDS 2017. They are also broadly regarding educational qualification and internship.

In the first place you need BDS degree / provisional BDS pass certificate from recognized Dental college or institute. College from where you receive degree should be recognized as per provisiona of Dentists’ Act 1948.

Possessing either permanent or provisional registration certificate of BDS qualification issued by Dental Council of India or State Dental Council.

Internship: You have either completed, or are likely to complete one year internship on or before 31 March 2017.

NEET PG Application Form 2017

Once you determine that you are eligible, you can apply for NEET entrance exam. Online application form is to be available from 26 September 2016. From that date, and until 07 November 2016, you can register athttp://www.nbe.edu.in. There you can enter personal details, upload relevant documents, and pay application fee. All in all, complete process is online. Prior to that, you may want to know application fee figure.

Application fee is Rs 3750 for all General and OBC candidates.

Application fee is Rs 2750 for all SC / ST / PWD / PH candidates.

Application form of NEET PG 2017, and NEET MDS 2017 are both to be filled at http://www.nbe.edu.in. Also last date to apply for both are November 07, 2016. It is advised to avoid last minute rush and apply early.

NEET PG Admit Card 2017

Right after applying, you can download admit card for exam. Keep NEET PG 2017 Admit Card safely considering you will need it to appear in exam. Also you will know exam center, date and time, reporting through it.

Also note that once you have completed registration you will get certain log in credentials. Note them down. You will need them at time of downloading admit card, checking results, and various other events.

NEET PG Exam Pattern 2017

For all candidates who will appear for NEET PG 2017 or NEET MDS 2017, knowing exam pattern is important. This plays an important role in preparing for exam. Furthermore you can practice mock tests based on similar pattern to get a feel of exam.

NEET PG 2017 will be a computer based test. Exam will be held at 41 cities across India. The examination shall be a multiple choice questions exam delivered on computer based platform (CBT). The exam comprises of 300 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3hr. 30 min.  There will be 2 sessions – one at 10:00 AM and another at 3:45 PM. There shall be no negative marking.

Next, coming to NEED MDS 2017.

NEET MDS 2017 will also be a computer based test. NBE will hold MDS entrance exam also at 41 cities in India. The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed. The exam comprises of 240 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Total time allotted is 3 hours. There shall be no negative marking.

NEET PG Syllabus 2017

For the purpose of NEET PG preparation, you can cover all subjects / topics taught in graduation curriculum.

In other words, for NEET PG 2017, syllabus contains all topics which medical colleges teach as per Graduate Medical Education Regulation notified by the Medical Council of India.

Likewise, for NEET MDS 2017, syllabus covers all topics which dental colleges teach as per Graduate Dental Education Regulation notified by the Dental Council of India.

Another interesting point you may want to know is that this year there is to be single exam for NEET PG and DNB CET.

NEET PG Result 2017

Please ensure you have registration data handy to check NEET PG Result 2017 or NEET MDS Result 2017. You can log in to check result using following data

NEET PG / MDS confirmation ID or Testing ID

Date of Birth; exactly as you had entered during registration and also as it appears in admit card

You will be able to check results on or before 15 January 2017. This means that NBE will evaluate papers, compile data, and declare results almost within a month after exam. You can check result and alsodownload score card online.

There is a minimum cut off for NEET PG and NEET MDS.

NEET PG Counselling for MD / MS / PG Diploma and NEET MDS, candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks.

NEET PG / NEET MDS Discussion

Last year entrance exams for MD / MS / PG Diploma was AIPGMEE and for MDS it was AIPGDEE. Introduction, or rather re-introduction of NEET PG and NEET MDS may lead to some confusion.
