Introduction : Karen Straughan Wiki

Karen Straughan is a Canadian spokesperson for Men’s Rights and was involved with the controversial film ‘The Red Pill’

Education, Parents & Family :

Karen was born just outside of Edmonton, Canada & subsequently relocated to the city at the age of 5.

Born into a family as the 5th child, she is the youngest, and has 3 older brothers and 1 sister.

She has said that growing up seeing the differences in how her and her sister were treated, as opposed to her three brothers really helped to shape her belief system about the inequalities caused by feminism.

She has 3 children from a previous marriage.

As of 2017, she confirmed that she is dating a new man that she describes as a big, burly, lumberjack man. She and her children moved in with him in Edmonton, in to the house that he grew up in.

She also works as a waitress, which she states is more to counteract her introvert nature and force her out of the house than it is for financial gain.

Social Media Presence : Youtube & Feminism

In 2013, she created her YouTube channel What Girls Write.

She has used the channel to post her views of feminism, calling it a disgrace.

One of her more prominent beliefs is that the feminism idea of what victim-blaming is in assault cases, is outrageous and wrong.

Feminists believe that doing things to protect yourself such as not walking alone at night or taking a self-defence class is ‘victim blaming’ and girls should not have to do things like that to protect themselves. Karen argues that doing those things is common sense, and she would give the same advice to men as well.

As of 2017, she has 163, 372 subscribers to her channel and her videos have received 14, 778, 778 views.

Some of her more popular video titles include ‘’Feminism & The Disposable Man” & “Look Out! It’s a Nice Guy! Destroy Him!”.

Karen Straughan Red Pill :

In late 2014, she became involved in the project “The Red Pill”.

It’s a documentary film that follows a sceptical feminist, who investigates feminism and comes to believe it is more of a hate movement in the modern age.

Karen worked as a producer for the film, and was also featured in it during an interview.

The film was initially supposed to be released in March of 2016, but this was moved back to May 2016 due to public outcry. It was then banned from most cinemas in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia.

Karen has publicly condemned those who have banned it, saying that it’s the work of a few select feminists running the countries who are afraid of being challenged on their way of thinking.

Her Wikipedia page was also deleted around the time of the movie release, which many of her fans felt was Wikipedia’s way of catering to its feminist crowds.
