Rahul Dev is known for his roles mostly in the South industry and few for his Bollywood roles too. Let us remind you that he was one of the most ferocious and well built villains of the 1990s. He now bagged an opportunity in an upcoming television show, Dil Bole Oberoi, which is a part of the ongoing show, Ishqbaaz. Rahul Dev also appeared in this season of Bigg Boss. Just not a television show, but the actor has even got a part in a film, and thanks to Salman Khan.
Salman approached the makers of the Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor starer, “Mubarakan,” to sign Rahul Dev for the film. Rahul said in an interview “God has been kind. I was skeptical about doing Bigg Boss but it was good, the show’s host supported me, he said on national TV that we should work together in the future. I have got “Mubarakan” after he put in a word about me to the makers. I will soon be off to London to shoot for the film. It is a beautiful role. Also, I am doing my first fiction show. So, things are looking up for me. I am very excited.”
Now that’s called Sallu power! Salman is known for introducing new talents and reviving actors lives. In fact, Salman promised Rahul during an episode of Bigg Boss that he would make sure Rahul is never out of work and he did just that.
The film that Rahul has signed will also have Illeana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty. We might even see him act opposite Salman Khan really soon. Can’t miss that now, can we?
