TRANQUILITY, relaxation and wellness in a most unexpected place, Spa at the LINQ is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip at the LINQ Hotel & Casino. Just six floors up from the gambling and excitement of the strip, nestled between the Purple Zebra bar and Club Tattoo, a true oasis awaits spa guests. Spa at the LINQ is the newest spa creation from Caesars Entertainment since its last concept, Caesars Palace QUA Baths & Spa. The recently remodeled LINQ Hotel & Casino attracts trendsetters and Las Vegas partiers, making this modern spa a perfect haven for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle and renew their spirits.

“We’re especially geared towards the millennial generation, which is not very common in spas,” says spa director Joy Matti. “The color scheme of our spa is more stimulating, but that’s how millennials relax. Our services are really geared towards them as well, since many are looking for wellness in an eco-chic way.”

HIMALAYAN HALOTHERAPY

The highlight of the spa, and one of its most unique amenities, is its Himalayan Salt Cave. An eastern European practice around for hundreds of years, halotherapy is renowned for helping clear sinus conditions, congestion and asthma. Guests who book a treatment or purchase a day pass can enjoy a 45-minute session in the salt cave, where walls are lined with luminous salt crystals and the air is infused with small particles of medical grade salt. Guests rave about their uninhibited breathing and noticeably softer skin after just one session.

CUSTOMIZATION

Spa at the LINQ offers clients a wealth of facials, body, massage, salon and wellness treatments, which can be customized to clients’ every whim. Guests can choose the music playing during their treatment or connect their own device to the room’s speakers for full control of the playlist. To enrich each treatment, aromatherapy is offered at no extra charge. Clients choose the scent and can even request a special blend just for them.

Signature Treatment

The glaciers of Alaska come to the sunny deserts of Vegas in the Alaskan Glacial Mud Wrap body treatment. Great for detoxing and softening the skin, the raw glacial mud is hand carved from the Copper River Delta in Alaska. The treatment consists of exfoliating dry brushing followed by a warm mud wrap.

HANGOVER HEALERS

After nights of partying and days of indulgence, bodies seeking well-being can find respite at Spa at the LINQ. The spa’s Hydrating Detox Body Wrap (80 minutes, $180-$185) is the perfect cure for a Las Vegas hangover.

This toning, brightening treatment consists of an invigorating sugar cane body polish, a warm clay, peppermint and seaweed mask to stimulate circulation and a calming temple and scalp massage. During the treatment, warm body butter is applied to skin for intense hydration.

New York might be the city that never sleeps, but not much rest happens in Vegas either. To revitalize the body’s systems, reset the sleep clock or cure jet lag, the spa offers a Sleep Healing treatment (50-80 minutes, $140-$195). Lavender, a proven natural sleep agent, is used with light Swedish massage techniques to release stress and slow brain waves.

“After the treatment we let them sleep in the room for a bit and wake them up slowly so as to not be abrupt,” Matti shares. “It’s a great treatment with a massage element, but we try to do much more for the body and mind.”

For tired feet after nights of walking and partying, enter the Hydration Restore Pedicure ($70-$80). Feet are soaked in a mineral salt bath and exfoliated with a Pacific sea salt scrub, followed by an eco-friendly paraffin alternative.

To complete the treatment, feet are massaged with organic shea, mango and cocoa butters.

RESTORATIVE WELLNESS

Catering especially to a generation devoted to preventative wellness and holistic remedies, the spa is home to the hotel’s state-of-the-art 1,620 square ft. fitness center, salt cave and a Harmonized Water Bar in the lounge. The hotel also offers in-room workouts in the form of wellness carts delivered to guests’ rooms at no extra charge. The in-room fitness carts include yoga mats, stability balls, fitness discs and foam rollers, bookable in four-hour windows. Guests can break a sweat the gym or recline in the lounge on a zero gravity chair with a harmonized water beverage. Both men’s and women’s lounges have whirlpools as well as eucalyptus steam rooms with refreshing peppermint towels.

INTENTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

With close to 250 guests every day, including those visiting the fitness center, staff take special care to make each client feel valued. “Every person visiting the spa or fitness center interacts with at least one or two staff members,” Matti explains. “It’s important to have a one-on-one connection so guests don’t feel cattled in.”

Before any client is led to meet their host, they are offered an Intention Setting Ritual. “We give them a piece of Himalayan crystal salt, explain the properties of the cave and ask them to think about what they want to get out of their session,” Matti states. “Whether it be pain management, relaxation, to treat themselves or just get away.” Clients carry the crystal across the hallway leading to their treatment room and place it in a Himalayan crystal bowl while visualizing this intention. “Most people really enjoy it, we’ve even had some guests cry,” she reveals.

top-notch staff training

“Opening a new spa in Vegas doesn’t happen easily,” Matti says. Because of this, much attention was given to staff training and the product lines chosen for the spa. Vendors were flown in to the facility to train all staff on their products and some return to the spa every couple of months to retrain on retail and menu.

In addition to a yearly review conducted by Caesars Entertainment, every employee also receives a monthly one-on-one meeting with a member of the spa management team. “We discuss their goals, struggles and offer them guidance based on Caesars Entertainment’s principle of Get Me, Guide Me, Root for Me,” Matti shares. “You’re going to understand your employee, guide them based on their strengths and weaknesses and root for them to accomplish their goals within the company.” They can also share personal goals if they wish and management staff track these to follow up in the next month’s meeting.

Product lines for the spa were also chosen with the targeted clients in mind. Paying special attention to eco-chic brands that emphasize wellness, Matti chose companies to attract millenials. “A lot of millenials want to participate in eco-friendly initiatives,” she shares. “They might not actively recycle, but they want to support brands that do.”

APPROACHABLE ATTITUDE

Though marketed to a younger generation, the founding principle of the spa is an inclusive atmosphere. “We try to be welcoming for everyone no matter their age,” Matti shares. “And we make our treatments and approachable price points reflect that.”
