Stewart-Yuill—Married, at the residence of the bride’s father on the 30th July, by Rev. Joseph Andrew, Mr. George Stewart to Miss Gracie Yuill, daughter of Mr. A. B. Yuill, Esq., all of Lanark.

The latest news of an extremely pleasant nature of the fact that Mr. P.C. Macnee, barrister of Pleton, Ontario, eldest son of Mr. Duncan Macnee of Perth, has deserted the bachelor state and has succumbed to that great seducer of mankind, cupid’s dart.  Mr. Macnee has just been married at Victoria, B.C. to Miss Bennett of that city and formerly of Dundas, Ontario.  Our oldest slipper is hurled at the bridegroom and his bride and we wish them many happy days.

Dewar—Birth, at Carleton Place on the (date illegible) August, the wife of Mr. Alexander Dewar, of a son(?) (blotted, but the word seems to end in an ‘n’.)

Griffith—Birth at Carleton Place on the 7th Aug., the wife of Mr. J.E. (?) Griffith of a son

Manson—Birth, at Carleton Place on the 13th (?) Aug., the wife of Mr. J. M. Manson, of twins a son and a daughter. (unsure of this surname.)
