We’re no strangers to the wonders of a classic chambray button-up, and this look has us inspired to layer it up! We love how Sara bundled up with a chunky cardigan over her favorite denim shirt. While it may look like she’s donning a cute pair of black jeans, we encourage you to look a little bit closer. We love the frayed hem at the bottom of her cropped pants! This makes them the perfect pants to wear with leather ankle booties. Top it all off with a patterned clutch, and you’ve officially transformed a seemingly simple outfit into something a little more interesting. Here’s what Sara had to say about her cozy look…
While I love splurging on the occasional statement piece, the majority of my wardrobe is made up of basics—especially denim! I love the denim on denim trend for its versatility but instead of the classic “Canadian tuxedo,” I opted for something a little more chic for the holiday season with dark wash denim. I’ve been living in these black cropped jeans because of their ultra-flattering high waist style and paired them with a light blue button up for a cool contrasting combo.
Since Los Angeles is still relatively warm this time of year, I opted for this short sleeve chunky knit. And for a bit of glam, I went with this cute embroidered clutch. It’s big enough for all of my essentials (keys, wallet, phone, and lip gloss) and always gets me tons of compliments whenever I wear it!
