IS IT SO POPULAR AFTER ALL

Wearing boots that go over the knee has been very popular for a long time now. We see stars doing it. We see people like Madonna wearing these types of boots in her shows. We want to emulate the look as best we can. Who among us hasn’t wanted to be a Madonna wanna-be in some form or another?

But, is it really being trendy to join the bandwagon that so many others have already joined? Are we really being true to our own style by ripping off another look? Are we looking to make the look our own or be like a fashion model? So many answers to these types of questions. Let’s look into this more deeply.

THE TREND ITSELF

Let’s take a look at the photo of the girl in the long grey cardigan. She has a black dress and jumper to pair with it. She is standing on the steps with her black bag and dark grey/black stiletto boots. This look is so chic and cool. She looks as though she could have been one of the extras from the film the Devil Wears Prada. If you haven;t seen this movie yet, do so. You will want to add it to your collection, I know I did.

This girl might look as though she is joining the trend, but she is actually setting her own trend. Her hair is a bit messed up. She kind of looks like she just fell out of bed in some respects. No model would ever be caught looking like this. They are paid not to look this way.

This girl looks like any other girl that is living in the city. She is looking to start her day; and yet, she also wants to look good. This look I can actually get behind. She wants to be perceived as another model; and yet, she also wants people to see she is just another girl.

Fashion is so fickle. Fashion wants us to look like we are perfect and less than human. This girl is actually going against the grain. She is also wearing some killer boots. The color and style of the boots suits her frame and style perfectly. Well done honey!

The second picture in the mix is the one with Stephanie Sterjovsky. She is the one wearing the grey boots, khaki dress and camel cardigan. This one I like too because it’s simple. She looks as though she could be the mom next door. She is dressing casually and fashionably, all at the same time. Moms don’t have lots of time to look fashionable these days. Moms need something quick and easy to throw on. This style fits the bill. She looks as though she spent some time getting ready; and yet, the look probably took no more than five minutes. The grey boots definitely add something to it.

With this look you really don’t need the pants. It covers up everything in a very fashionable and honest way. The boots go along way to adding depth and length to her legs. Stephanie looks great.

“These boots will make you feel very feminine and full of confidence. They are quite versatile to wear from work to weekend. The boots will work with a shift dress or pencil skirt for work and then leather leggings or a mini on the weekend. Whether you choose the classic black over-the-knee boot or go for patent leather knee-high boot and platform over-the-knee boots, you will surely turn heads (in a positive way) wherever you go.”
