Salary: £16,957 per annum pro rata for salaried roles which is the LSP rate on the Learning Support Salary scale (£8.81 per hour)
Job Purpose: Providing support under the guidance of the teacher to students in classrooms, workshops and other vocational settings and support students in the Learning Resource Centre to support teaching and learning.
Vision: For this role, we are looking to appoint flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who can provide 1:1 group support and communication support to learners across the college. A sympathetic approach to learners with physical, behavioural and/or learning disability is essential. You will have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Possession of a Level 3 Teaching and Supporting Learning qualification is desirable. Knowledge of ICT would be an advantage, and you will have an adaptable approach as some of the activities are based outside of the classroom. Experience with animals, floristry, construction, agriculture, horticulture or outdoor education is desirable but not essential.
Status: Permanent and Term Time only. This is a term-time only appointment for 36 working weeks. Payment is for 41 weeks.
