Courtesy of Extra Butter After its scavenger hunt for the first Adidas Vanguard collection in September, New York-based retailer Extra Butter has teamed with the brand for the release of its second installation. The second Vanguard collection features the brand’s iconic Rod Laver and Stan Smith silhouettes. The Rod Laver silhouette, named The Scholar, evokes the spirit of academia with a whiff of private-school uniform. The shoe features gold embroidery, red-striped foxing and two metallic crest pins (merits in “Punctuality” and “Perfect Attendance”). The upper is navy blue, and the combination of red foxing and white midsole represents a collegiate red pen and Whiteout. The shoe is completed with a classic gum sole.
