CitySpace is the University of Sunderland's £12m sport and social facility, which features a 70 station fitness suite, strength and conditioning room, indoor climbing wall, sports hall, and multi purpose studios to accommodate a host of events and activities including our group exercise programme. We hare looking for a highly motivated, sports professional to work as part of the team responsible for providing a safe, clean and pleasant environment for CitySpace users, delivering high standards of service provision. The successful candidate will maintain a proactive and effective support role across the breath of sport and recreation services.

To be considered for this role you must have a relevant Fitness Instructor Qualification (minimum of YMCA gym instructor’s award level 2 or REPs equivalent). You must be able to carry out fitness inductions and prepare personal programmes for a range of clients with varying degrees of experience and ability. Applicants require experience of working in a sports related environment including knowledge of setting up and dismantling sports equipment and experience of cleaning methods. You must have excellent customer care practices and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to be able to communicate confidently and clearly to the public and colleagues.
