Computing Assignment/Exam/Project Assessor

Exam, Assignment and Project Markers are sought for an ongoing requirement for the following Undergraduate and Postgraduate Computing programmes:

B.Sc. Applied Business Computing

B.Sc. Computer Systems Engineering

B.Sc. Network Systems

M.Sc. Computing

M.Sc. Information Technology Management

M.Sc  Project Management

You will be available to mark batches of work throughout the year in line with established regulations and guidelines.  As part of the enrolment process you will be expected to attend a markers induction/training session to understand the University procedures and standard, although please note that if you are not located near to Sunderland, this induction process can be undertaken by video-conference (e.g. Skype).

Undergraduate - Computing Assignment/Exam/Project Assessor

Qualified to degree level, or any equivalent qualification, in a relevant discipline, you will have experience of teaching, tutoring and/or assessment in a Higher Education context along with current contextual experience in computing.

Postgraduate - Computing Assignment/Exam/Project Assessor

Qualified to a postgraduate level, with either a masters or research degree (M.Phil/Ph.D) in a relevant discipline, you will have experience of teaching, tutoring and / or assessment in a Higher Education context along with current contextual experience in computing.

This work at either undergraduate or postgraduate level, will particularly appeal to individuals who are interested in home working as the marking is predominantly undertaken using electronic/online systems, although marking of exam scripts may be required in some subject areas. You may also be required to assist in carrying out moderation/vivas and dealing with queries should the need arise.
