Current work includes big data, information security, and human-centric computing and information systems, applied in sectors including creative industries, cultural heritage, e-democracy, environment, healthcare and transport.
Focused on a professional approach to a leading role in applied research and software development in an agile team environment, our Senior Research Engineers are involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle.
You
A creative, innovative thinker with outstanding problem-solving skills, able to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges. With a keen interest in new and emerging technologies, you are passionate about innovation and excited by the idea of bringing research closer to market. Your excellent written and oral communication enables you to present ideas clearly and effectively to colleagues, project partners and clients.
With a degree and probably post-graduate qualifications in computer science or related disciplines, you have experience of applied research in academia or industry. Able to handle uncertainty and change in a research environment, you can devise and implement novel solutions to real-world problems. You have experience across the full project lifecycle, from preparing proposals through to delivery, dissemination and exploitation of results.
You seek an influential role in transforming the way designers, operators and users manage security issues in advanced multi-stakeholder IT systems. You have a strong background in computer science methods and tools, and you are excited by the opportunity to apply them to problems in information security.
A team leader, you will manage projects and produce high-impact proofs-of-concept and influential reports and publications. You will develop your knowledge of information security and solution approaches, engage with current and potential clients and project partners, and contribute to winning new business.
