Research Assistant in Irregular Generalized Multi-layer, Multi-mode, Multi-user Network Coding

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in wireless telecommunications and he/she is expected to support the the Pan-European Concerto project

The research activities of the project encompass the mathematical and simulation based performance evaluation as well as the design of radically new cooperative network-coded wireless communications systems.  Hence strong mathematical and applied signal processing skills are essential. Familiarity with source- and channel coding, modulation, detection and estimation, advanced learning and optimization techniques, synchronization, multiple access, networking and cross-layer operation constitute prerequisites for the holistic system optimization planned. Giving full cognizance to the practical constraints of the wireless propagation environment and possessing software skills are also important.

An excellent IEEE publications track-record is expected in Irregular Generalized Multi-layer, Multi-mode, Multi-user Network Coding and large-scale cooperative networks:
