Category: Professional Support | Department: London International Development Centre | Closing Date: 28 Sep 2016 | The Innovative Metrics and Methods for Agriculture and Nutrition Actions (IMMANA) Programme aims to accelerate the development of a robust and coherent scientific evidence base which will underpin effective and cost-effective investments in agriculture-food systems for improved nutrition and health.  To achieve this three inter-locking and synergistic programme workstreams will be established: 1) Competitive Research Grants directed at accelerating the development of the best new interdisciplinary metrics and methods filling the key knowledge gaps including theory-driven impact evaluation. These are awarded to successful applicants; 2) Research Fellowships for Early Career Scientists directed at building a cadre of early career researchers who are using and developing/adapting these new methodological approaches with mentors in ongoing research programmes in LMICs; 3) A Global Research Network to link researchers and research groups, to ensure rapid sharing, development and use of the best approaches emerging from their work and from the grants and fellowships proposed in this programme.
We are looking for a grants and project manager, who will be responsible for:

the financial management for the entire IMMANA programme,
the management the IMMANA Round 2 grant-making, and
the management of the awarded IMMANA Grants.

The post holder will be responsible for and maintaining relations with the IMMANA Grantees and monitor key milestones and deliverables. The post holder will also work closely with the PI to monitor progress and outputs across all workstreams and with the external Steering Committee. This post will require excellent communication, financial management and organisational skills, as it will involve working with a diverse group of senior researchers in a highly international environment.

The position is available with an immediate start and is funded until 6 August 2019. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 4 scale in the range £37,477-£42,560 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
