Full time (part-time job share considered), ongoing

We are looking to recruit an experienced Mental Health Advisor to join our integrated Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. You will work with individual students to ensure that appropriate practical and psychological support is in place based on the Recovery Model of Mental Health, to enable students to function more effectively and fulfil their personal and academic potential.

You must be able to demonstrate substantial experience of providing support for people with mental health conditions (moderate to severe and enduring) and be able to evidence the capacity to assess, monitor and manage young adults living with mental health difficulties, including crisis response. An essential aspect to this role is effective, responsive liaison with community and university student support services. The role also incorporates delivering mental health awareness training sessions to colleagues across the University.

To ensure that the Service is representative of the wider community, we would particularly welcome applications from men, black or minority ethnic (BME) and disabled candidates.

Informal enquiries may be made to Jeanette Hannah, Mental Health Team Manager, tel +44(0)113 343 7458, email j.hannah@adm.leeds.ac.uk.
