OptiTrans Solutions Private Limited is involved in developing web applications and android apps especially to address the travel & transport sector in India. We develop products and are involved in the complete life cycle of the software development right from idea conception, development, design to marketing of the product. We are currently working on our first product of developing an open source location based marketplace for urban transport service providers.
Job brief
We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to design, develop and install software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing web service with android interface in compliance with coding standards and technical design.
Responsibilities
Execute full lifecycle software development
Write well designed, testable, efficient code
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
Document and maintain software functionality
Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
Serve as a subject matter expert
Comply with project plans and industry standards
Requirements
2+ years of experience in software engineering especially in a start-up/product environment
BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Hands on experience in designing interactive applications
Ability to develop software in Java, PHP, Android (Eclipse) or other selected languages
Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, MySQL and working knowledge of NoSQL databases.
Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework
Experience with test-driven development
Ability to document requirements and specifications
Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes
