SimplySource is looking for a content writer who will be responsible for creating content for the fast paced marketing initiatives. The content writer is responsible for generating content that drives interaction within the target market. On the mid-term, she/he oversees all external/internal marketing content initiatives for the segment, across printed, online and digital formats including blog posts, social media content, whitepapers, case studies, web content, emails, video scripts and fact sheets.

The content writer will also be responsible for creating the title tags and meta descriptions for content written. We want a talented writer who is a fast learner, willing to learn SEO techniques to incorporate them into content, and a team player.

Write copy, headlines, SEO and meta descriptions. Act as the grammar guardian of the website and all things customer facing. Craft multiple weekly email newsletters for both consumer and business audiences. Work closely on the social media on content for Facebook, Twitter and the blog where needed. Write all marketing copy for both on and offline ad campaigns Draft and proofread press releases, awards submissions, look books and other press related collateral including campaign copy around holidays and special occasions. Draft sales collateral for the business-to-business team. Maintain copy database 

You would be primarily responsible for creation/modification of content for products sold in simplysource.in. Successful product marketing at SimplySource starts with accurate product images and informative text-based product descriptions. However, complex products often benefit from additional descriptive content that can help customers make more informed buying decisions. You would be responsible to communicate product details to customers such as product features, specifications, and/or technical details not already presented on the page, optimized alternative product images, and feature comparisons. In some cases, detail pages may not have even basic content on them, in which case you'll need to work with the vendor to also obtain a sufficient title, bullets, and product description for the item.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning: Pinpoint relevant content themes and create compelling content that will resonate with leads and customers. Develop a rolling 3 months editorial calendar that maps out content development plans. Research relevant content.

Generating content: Write, edit and create content. Repurpose content as needed. Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, video, print (whitepapers, case studies, fact sheets) and in-person.

Content review: work with owners of particular content to review, check and measure particular content and marketing goals. Conduct ongoing usability tests to gauge content effectiveness.

PR content: manage / review content for PR agencies

Social Media: Support online manager with content across social media channels.

Web-site content management: Maintain database and ensure content is posted to the SimplySource website or blog in a time-bound manner.
