Software Engineer - Tools:
Amagi is looking for Software Engineer with experience in Amazon Web Services or other cloud platform who will work closely with our development teams to deploy and operate our systems. This will involve automation and streamlining of our operations and processes. This role involves ownership for bridging between QA and production, which needs automated staging and validation for various customers and their configurations.
Responsibilities
Develop tools to automate the deployment, administration, and monitoring of a large-scale Linux environment
Gain deep application-level knowledge of the systems.
Contribute to the overall design and specifications as part of development.
Work with development teams to harden, enhance, document, and generally improve the operability of our systems
Assist in the configuration/build-out of new deployments to facilitate our constant growth.
Desired Skills and Experience
Excellent programing skills in Python
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is recommended)
A working understanding of code and script (Shell, PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
Working knowledge of applications such as DNS, NFS and protocols such as TCP/IP and other internet protocols
Knowledge of tools like Netcool or Nagios.
