Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Treasury Assistant in Manila, Philippines.
The Senior Treasury Assistant will provide analytical and administrative support for the software applications of the Treasury Department (TD) including SWIFT, Misys Summit and financial data providers.
The ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Treasury Assistant will perform the following functions-
Coordinate and control the use of ADB’s SWIFT system by the authorized users in various divisions for the handling of funds transfers, settlement of investments, purchases of foreign exchange, debt service payments, loan disbursements, payments of administrative expenses, etc.
Provide guidance and support to different SWIFT users and trains new users in using the SWIFT systems.
Assist the officer in the establishment and management of SWIFT Relationship Management Application (RMA) and telex authenticator key arrangements with depository correspondent banks worldwide.
Prepare daily summary of incoming and outgoing messages for reconciliation purposes.
Prepare monthly statistical reports on volume of SWIFT communications.
Assist in maintaining data required by the integrated Treasury systems for investment and funding operations in TD, Office of Risk Management and Controller’s Department.
Assist in generation of reporting for operations and in reconciliation of such reporting with Treasury Divisions in support of their activities.
Review reports generated by the systems, checks their accuracy and reliability, and reports any deviations to supervisor.
Assist in the preparation for monthly closing processes in transaction processing systems.
Prepare various related statistical tables and charts.
Perform any other duties as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, computer science/information technology, or other related disciplines.
At least 5 years experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of SWIFT System: general overview (network, its objectives, structure, members, products and services; messages (types, formats, standards, validation and error codes); security aspect (access to the system, use of passwords, message authentication).
Familiar with in-house treasury facilities: depository banks, different bank accounts and various financial correspondents; treasury and mainframe systems and computer software applications used in multilateral organizations.
Exposure to Misys Summit and financial data providers such as Reuters and Bloomberg would be a plus.
Proficiency in use of computer data bases to input and extract information and to generate standard and ad hoc reports.
Knowledge of light IT and software development such as Excel, Macros.
Excellent command of the written and spoken English.
