About You

To be successful you will hold a degree in Psychology or a related discipline and desirably a postgraduate qualification in the field of Psycholinguistics, Experimental Psychology or Neuroscience. You should have prior experience in experimental design and data collection in Psychology and data analysis, and a keen interest in Psycholinguistics is vital.

About the Role

Opportunity to be involved in an innovative international project that would have a huge impact not only for the field of psycholinguistics, but beyond: in education, language learning and teaching and the fight against the social stigma suffered by the Deaf.

The project is led by Dr Sara Rodriguez-Cuadrado, Lecturer in Psychology at Edge Hill University, specialised on Psycholinguistics and author of one of the most cited articles in the field of embodied semantics. It will be developed in collaboration with Dr Julio Santiago at the University of Granada, a world-leading researcher in the field of Sign Languages and Psycholinguistics.

About the Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology was established in 2011 and offers a range of vocationally relevant programmes underpinned by extensive staff research and publication. We have a strategy in place to maximize the strength of our submission to the next national research assessment exercise in 2020/21.
