The postdoctoral fellow will be working on research projects under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Neophytou. These projects will provide opportunities to perform analysis on environmental epidemiology topics, including air pollution and children's health, environmental exposures and perinatal outcomes, and health effects of tropical cyclones. Analyses approaches will include applications of methods for prolonged and/or time-varying exposures, mediation analysis and causal inference applications in general. The responsibilities of this position will involve data management and statistical analyses, as well as other research activities including communication/dissemination of results such as presentations at seminars and conferences and manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed publication. The postdoctoral fellow is also encouraged to assist in mentoring graduate students related to statistical data analyses and interpretation of results. Finally, the postdoctoral fellow will be expected to assist Dr. Neophytou in writing grant applications for future projects.
