At Computerworld Business Solutions (CBS),we are looking for an IT sales apprentice to work within our Birmingham office. You will be assisting with all aspects of sales orders and processing, furthermore you will be developing a great knowledge of product sets from the perspective of a member of the sales team. Not only will you gain a level 3 in IT sales you will have your foot in the door of the IT sales industry resulting in great progression possibilities.

Role Description
Technical Sales

• Assisting with all aspects of sales orders and processing

• You will develop knowledge of the product sets from a sales perspective

• Entering licences and hardware warranties into our renewals database

• We will support you to learn about a range of IT products and services

• Sell corporate IT and Networking products

• You will place calls to new and existing businesses

• Provide advice and guidance to new and existing businesses about our technical products and services

• You will learn to keep up to date with all of our new products and services

• Promote and sell technical products and services

• Upsell to existing clients

• To take on any other duties that maybe required to support the sales team

• You will be working closely with the sales team to help learn the art of sales

• Able to pick up new sales leads and close them out

• Telemarketing by booking appointments over the phone for Sales team visits

• Telesales by following up on email leads and building a pipeline

• Learning the sales process

• Assisting sales admin efforts with fulfilment of proposals, contracts, purchase orders and agreements

• You will assist our existing sales staff and work with us to develop the business

• You will learn to provide sales support for established sales executives and as experience is gained, transition to managing own accounts

• Provide technical and pre-sales advice

• Carry out order processing

• Conducting customer facing visits

• You will receive campaign specific training and in-depth training on our internal systems and processes

• Answering client calls and handling enquiries

• Sourcing parts from Hardware to Software

• Providing quotes for clients

• Assisting with Laptop/Printer/PC repairs on site

• Cold calling and developing new opportunities

• You will meet your monthly targets

• You will be supported to establish relationships and understand customer requirements in line with our product portfolio

• You will learn how to recording all activity within the CRM

• You will participate in technical product training and continually build on knowledge of our product range

Key Requirements
Sales and Technical

• Enthusiastic about being customer facing

• Strong desire to learn about IT hardware and software

• Highly motivated by closing deals

• Highly motivated by fulfilling customers’ needs

• Must sound authoritative over phone (confident manner)

• Knowledge of Information Technology is important although training will be provided

• A strong desire to be a successful IT sales executive / account manager is essential

• IT experience or a strong understanding of IT would be preferred

• You must be incentivised by results and get a buzz out of being a winner

• Previous experience in B2B sales for appointment making or lead generation would be beneficial

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including emails and CRM systems would be advantageous

• Some awareness of IT vendors and products would be helpful (HP, Microsoft, IBM, Dell, Cisco etc.)

• Ability to cold-call is a prerequisite
