A Special Shabbat Service and Chamber Concert Featuring Members of the St. Louis Symphony

Immediately following Shabbat service on Friday, January 20, Congregation Temple Israel will be hosting a special chamber concert featuring members of the St. Louis Symphony. The program includes chamber music by Ernest Bloch and his composition pupil, George Gershwin, as well as pieces by other Jewish and Chassidic composers. St. Louis Symphony musicians performing are David Halen, concertmaster; Ann Fink, violins; Kathleen Mattis, viola; Bjorn Ranheim, cello; and Patti Wolf, piano; as well as vocals by Temple Israel’s very own Rabbi Amy Feder.

6:30 pm – 7:00 pm Brief Shabbat Service

7:00 pm – 7:30 pm Dessert Oneg

7:30 pm – 8:30 pm Chamber Concert

Free and open to the entire Jewish community.
