Regular Order, Day 2

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place in the second floor chapel throughout the day. Benediction will take place at 12:50.

Juniors: This is a reminder about the Electives Fair that will be held today. Teachers of all senior electives will be in the second floor hallway during the first half of lunch to answer all of your questions regarding elective courses. Don’t miss out! Elective forms must be completed and returned to Mrs. Swan in Room 235 by Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Jesuit’s Student Council is hosting the Winter Snowdown dance tomorrow evening from 7-10 pm in the Student Commons.  Admission is $10 for students, and that comes with a free drink and slice of king cake.  Chick-fil-a will also be served at the dance.  Also, snow in the courtyard & a Jayson ice sculpture!

Seniors interested in attending a Senior Retreat at Manresa, April 18-19, should meet today during the first half of lunch in the Campus Ministry Office.

The choir will meet today during the first half of lunch in the Chapel of the North American Martyrs.

The Social Studies department will be re-hosting the Nation Geography Bee today at 3:15 pm in Room 329, for all eight graders. No registration is required to participate.

The varsity basketball team will host John Curtis tonight with tipoff set for 7:00 in the gym.  The JV game begins at 5:45.

The 8th grade basketball team will face John Curtis on Saturday morning starting at 11:00 at Shaw.

On Saturday the rugby team will play St. Paul’s at City Park at the corner of Harrison and Marconi with kickoff set for 1:00.

The Herpetology Club will meet on Monday during the first half of lunch in Room 210.

The Bazaar t-shirt is now in stock and can be purchased for $10 a shirt in the Volunteer Office, Room 126.

Results:

This past weekend, Jesuit sent 3 varsity quiz bowl teams to the Dutchtown tournament. The team captained by Robert Cerise went undefeated into the finals and won second place.  Junior Caleb Rogers won tournament MVP runner-up.The all sophomore team captained by Dexter Webster made it to the quarter finals before being eliminated by the tournament champions and each member placed within the top fourth of points scored.

Varsity Bowling notched a win against Holy Rosary by a score of 19 to 8.  High bowlers included Trent Greco with 203 and 210 games, Gerard Miller with a 239 game, and Adam Francis with a 289 game and 655 series.  Congratulations, bowlers.
