Story
Takanashi Asuka, an office lady working for Izumi Bank’s Corporate Sales Division, has a number of financial qualifications. She is the most dedicated worker and trusted by clients. Despite the trend to marry later today, Asuka’s dream is to get married and become a housewife. On her 27th birthday, she goes out to the aquarium with her boyfriend of five years Shiraishi Koichi and her heart fills with expectation. But instead of the proposal she had been waiting for, he suddenly talks about breaking up with her. She is distracted even at a wedding ceremony which she attends with her colleagues Kiriyama Rio, Makise Momoko and Ono Hiroki because of the shock of being dumped. Handsome, popular Tokyo News Network TV announcer Nanami Ryu, who has returned from New York, is the host of the wedding reception as the groom’s friend. Then the wedding bouquet is tossed at the poolside party. Asuka is pulled in by Momoko to participate. But when she reaches out to catch the bouquet, she loses her balance and falls into the pool. Nanami turns this into a joke with his wit and livens up the party. Asuka calls him a jerk for making fun of her desire to be happy. An undaunted Asuka participates in a matchmaking event to look for a marriage partner. Meanwhile, Nanami returns to Tokyo News Network’s morning information programme ‘Morning Yell’ where his senior Mikami Kyo is the main host, after one year. Asuka gets even more depressed to learn about the marriage of a junior. So Rio and Ono invite her for drinks in an attempt to cheer her up and they end up visiting Ono’s apartment. Asuka wakes up in the morning after passing out drunk the night before and tries to wake Ono up. Except that the man is Nanami and not Ono?! He suddenly pulls her to him and kisses her. Nanami would be the ideal man for Asuka if he were not dead set against settling down. However, despite their different views on marriage, they eventually fall in love and start a relationship. It seems as if everything is going so well, but this is the beginning of their battle of values. Where is their romantic relationship headed? Will Asuka be able to make her dream come true?

Nishiuchi Mariya as Takanashi Asuka
A capable office lady in her 20s who works for a major bank and possesses many financial qualifications. She has a greater wish to get married than anyone else and her dream is to become a full-time housewife after marriage. She is waiting for her boyfriend of five years to propose, but is dumped by him all of a sudden and gets depressed. She has to start looking for a marriage partner even though she does not have the time, but fails miserably at every turn.
Yamamura Ryuta as Nanami Ryu
A handsome and outstanding Tokyo News Network TV announcer who is at the peak of his popularity. After joining the network, he worked at its New York bureau. Upon his return to Japan he is immediately made the host of an information programme. There is actually a reason why he worked in New York. He was involved in a love affair with actress Sakuragi Yuko. His aversion to marriage has its roots in his family background and Yuko’s attitude towards marriage seems to have aggravated it.
Takaoka Saki as Sakuragi Yuko
A popular actress who has established a solid position in the industry. She met Nanami Ryu when he was a newcomer and they started an affair quite by chance. She is obsessed with her failed married. Although her relationship with Nanami has ended, there is an awkwardness for some reason.
Sawamura Ikki as Mikami Kyo
The married section chief of the TV announcers. He has a high regard for Nanami Ryu and a great love for programmes. He joined Tokyo News Network in the same year as Himuro Toya.
Yamazaki Ikusaburo as Kamiya Akihito
An ace salesman with a securities company that is an affiliate of the bank that Takanashi Asuka works at. He grasps Asuka’s desire to marry and become a full-time housewife which fits his requirements and he proposes to her. However, Nanami Ryu becomes his rival in love as he gradually falls for Asuka.
Nakamura Anne as Kiriyama Rio
Takanashi Asuka’s junior who gets along with her. She has been devoting herself to self-improvement, is uninterested in romance or marriage and considers it a waste of time to think about them.
Sugimoto Tetta as Himuro Toya
The general producer of Tokyo News Network’s Programming Bureau. He has the power to decide who to cast for programmes and will do whatever it takes to get viewership ratings.
Kishii Yukino as Makise Momoko
She joined Izumi Bank at the same time as Takanashi Asuka and they hang out together. She is in love with the married Mikami Kyo.
Morita Kanro as Ono Hiroki
Takanashi Asuka’s senior and confidant. He is Nanami Ryu’s good friend since high school days and they are now roommates. He is wholeheartedly in love with Kiriyama Rio.
Ishino Mako as Takanashi Noriko
Takanashi Asuka’s mother who can be credited for building the family and home that Asuka idealises. She is a big fan of Nanami Ryu.
