2017-09-06

Our International Baccalaureate (IB), Diploma Programme (DP) results have been published and once again our students have performed very well. 23 students were entered for the Full IB Diploma and for the second year running we achieved a 100% pass rate. This compares to a worldwide average of 80% and shows the incredible achievements of our Class of 2017.

Three students earned 40 or more points out of an overall possible 45 points and as in previous years, our students all entered their first choice universities.

As I write, our graduates are in the process of moving to top universities across the United Kingdom, the USA, Korea, Canada and Europe. Two of our top achievers will continue their studies together at the University College Utrecht in The Netherlands, while other students will be moving on to amongst others, the Durham University, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), University of Kent, University of Toronto, Northeastern University as well as Lund University in Sweden.

Our DP results reflect an ever increasing performance from our students as we have now consistently averaged above the world average for the past 5 years. This years average of 32 points was almost 3 points higher than the world average of 29.95 which is very impressive indeed.

As we say goodbye to our Class of 2017 we look forward to more great results from our 25 graduates next May. Congratulations to all teachers, students and parents!
