Green BEAN Delivery, the region’s largest online natural and organic grocery delivery service, is inviting all members across more than a dozen cities to participate in its first-ever Perfect 10 program to benefit local food banks this holiday season.
From Oct. 5-Nov. 9, Green BEAN Delivery members who refer a friend will get 10 percent off their next order. Even better, the referred friend will get $10 off their first order. And the best part: for each referred friend, Green BEAN Delivery will donate 10 pounds of produce to a local food bank.
In addition, Green BEAN Delivery will contribute 1 pound of produce each time the campaign’s Facebook post is “shared” or “liked.” Collectively, the company hopes to donate 10,000 pounds of produce to food banks in each market it serves.
“We are very excited to see the impact this campaign will have on our local food banks and families,” said Shane Towne, president of Green BEAN Delivery. “Last year, we were thrilled to donate over 10,000 pounds of fresh produce to local food banks through our Like, Share, Give campaign. We are confident this year’s Perfect 10 program will be even more successful and help feed people who need it most in the communities we serve.”
The donation of fresh produce will be evenly distributed and given to the following food banks the week before Thanksgiving:
Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana in Indianapolis
Freestore Foodbank in Cincinnati
Dare to Care Food Bank in Louisville, Kentucky
Mid-Ohio Foodbank in Columbus, Ohio
Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee in Nashville
St. Louis Area Foodbank
Green BEAN Delivery was founded in Indianapolis in 2007 by husband and wife team Matt Ewer and Beth Blessing. The company is the Midwest’s most extensive network of farmers and artisans with organic and sustainable practices. Since its founding, Green BEAN Delivery has donated more than 700,000 pounds of fresh produce to areas food banks.
