“Un-hacking The Mentality Programming of the INC Member”
Eversince I started to write blogs particularly to expose the many different faces of corruption inside our beloved church, many have asked me time and time again, Non-Defenders: Why are you against the Executive Minister?; Defenders: Why are you sparing the Executive Minister?
Weird huh?
You see, when I write my articles, I have a set of very particular guidelines that I personally follow. If one is to dissect my writings, he will be able to see fragments of these guidelines I mentioned and it is the very DNA of the Antonio Ebangelista writings that sets it apart from the rest (modesty aside).
So why do different readers have different perspective on my writings? One set of readers are so appalled with the contents of my articles thinking that I am blatantly attacking Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo whatever the context of the article may be. Yet another set of readers, feel disappointed that I do not share the same disgust they have for the Executive Minister and insinuate that I am even protecting him from all responsibilities regarding the mishaps in the church administration. Now let us examine, may I ask, is there something wrong with my writings? Am I writing two versions of the same article? The answer is NO. Everything I write goes through a meticulous and tedious process of endless barrage of mental scrutiny, proof validation and verification, quality control, and topped-off with numerous devotional prayers so that each article produced will be an instrument according to His will and nobody else’s. Make no mistake about it, I do not write for pleasure, fame nor money. On the contrary, these very same writings, are unimaginable risks to my family and our safety due to the overwhelming retaliation of religious fanaticism of some members of the I.N.C.
Going further, let me quote a famous line by a character Morpheus from the movie THE MATRIX (1999) to illustrate exactly the two effects of the A.E. writings:
“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”
The same thing goes for the people who reads my articles. The Antonio Ebangelista writing is either the RED PILL or the BLUE PILL, it just depends on who is reading it. It is a choice between opening your mind and embracing the sometimes painful truth of reality (Red Pill) or maintaining an airtight close-mindedness that comforts a person with the familiar air of illusion, being true to the line, IGNORANCE IS BLISS (Blue Pill). This is the same reason why a lot of people, upon reading my articles, immediately get a sense of “eureka” or “I thought I was the only one who noticed that” moment. The Eye-Opener Effect. People like these don’t need much convincing simply because they are living witnesses to the gradual or most of the time, abrupt changes in the doctrines, rules and guidelines, even the time-tested regulations inside the church were not spared from manipulation to serve the VESTED INTERESTS of the few bad men. These people noticed the changes but are “silent”, because at first they thought that they were the only ones, they didn’t know who to talk to, who to ask questions, where to seek the answers, then they start to dig deeper into the rabbit hole only to find out that THEY ARE NOT ALONE… THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING… THINGS ARE REALLY CHANGING FOR THE WORSE… THERE REALLY ARE ANOMALIES. And this, my friends, is how it all began, how the INC DEFENDERS came into being.
I receive emails everyday, real accounts of people from all walks of life, from different places in the world, sharing their experiences, their anguish, disgust, hopes and aspirations. I knew of a Minister’s family who would save up from their “Tulong” (Honorarium) just to be able to afford internet connection for a day to be able to download the latest A.E. Articles, print them on paper with tiny-sized fonts to be able to fit on a single sheet of paper, compile them in a folder with fastener, hide them on a make-shift storage on a hollow part of their wall in the Pastoral House invisible to plain sight, and only during the late night hours, when they are absolutely sure that no District Staff Ministers would drop by for a surprise visit/inspection, will they be free to read up on the articles. Tears would flow from their eyes as they feel the holy spirit in each article they read, then they would pray with their children in the hopes that God will allow the truth to be revealed and that His will be done thru the instruments that He chooses to initiate the cleansing necessary for the Church to be restored to its rightful state, worthy of salvation. Ministers like these, risk their lives everyday just to be able to have a taste of TRUTH likened to a weary and thirsty traveller eagerly yearning for water to drink. They suffer in silence, yet they enjoin us in prayers everyday and they are true to their calling, knowing the difference between truth and lies, waiting for the right time to come out and stand up for what is right.
Another true to life account came from a man who was with the church all his life, I’ve personally known him since we were kids (yet he doesn’t know that this is me), he witnessed the glory days of the Church upon the Stewardship of the late Bro. Eraño G. Manalo. His family was able to enjoy the company of the “first family”, intact, warm and peaceful. Now living abroad, in a city that never sleeps, he has been in denial for so long, living in disbelief that the church and doctrines he has long lived for is now slowly corrupting before his very eyes. With no one to talk to and no knowledge on how to address these kinds of issues, he was intrigued by the lesson taught during one of the worship services that cautioned members not to believe the online accusations against the church on social media. That’s how he first learned about the Iglesia Ni Cristo Silent No More blog, and what followed after that was the CONFIRMATION he needed to conclude that he was right all along and eventually learned that his whole locale, and his friends from different locales and districts all over the world share the same sentiments, ofcourse with the exception of their Resident Ministers and a few blind fanatics, they all became SILENT DEFENDERS, known only by their conviction and strong resolve, because they know what is TRUE and what are the LIES. So along with his whole family, he would reluctantly attend worship services, attend WEBEX after WEBEX after WEBEX, respectfully nodding to the Minister during worship services when the Minister would use the pulpit and attempt to desperately convince the congregation to believe the lies to be true and the truth to be lies. But he is firm in his conviction as a DEFENDER and nobody had to convince him and his family, nobody had to visit him constantly in their house to check if he is still a DEFENDER, nobody had to ask him to make a reaction paper regarding what they have read, or to write a “Salaysay” that he is still a true DEFENDER, nobody had to threaten him or his family and nobody had to coerce him to believe anything. Which exactly what the Sanggunian is doing to the brethren all over the world. This is why eversince I started exposing the many alleged corruption and abuses inside the church, people with above-average intellect, were quick to realize the truth in it. I need not convince nor force anyone to believe me, because I am in fact irrelevant, only the TRUTH is relevant. And that TRUTH is “the” RED PILL, the one that set us free to see thru the lies.
And what about the BLUE PILL? The one that gives the reader that warm fuzzy feeling that everything is alright, that there are no anomalies, no corruption, no abuse of power, no malversation of church funds, no lavish king-like lifestyle of the Sanggunian and so on and so forth. Well that mind condition can only be attributed to the lasting effect of the Spiritual Programming every member of the church goes thru when he was indoctrinated during Bible Studies. We all went thru that. Needless to say, we are taught TO OBEY WITHOUT QUESTION. Actually, there’s nothing wrong with that especially since what we were obeying (before) were all purely the teachings of God, so who are we to disobey. It is the same hard-wired programming in our psyche that prevents the entry, much more the acceptance, of any information with even just a hint of going against the church administration. An ordinary person (with the BLUE PILL) who reads a line in my article, and sensed that there is anything negative against the church, even an iota or inkling of anything against the Executive Minister etc., will be able to read the words but will not be able to understand it, much more accept it. He may be able to see the text, but can only see it as “BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH”. We cannot blame them, it is in their programming and it cannot be changed instantly by pressing a RESET BUTTON. That is why even if I include all the documentary proofs and other evidences, they will not see it, because they cannot accept it and since they cannot accept it, to them, IT IS THEREFORE NOT TRUE. They cannot accept the bitter-pill-truth that there is something wrong inside our dearly beloved church, the church whom we would gladly sacrifice our life for. When they see a document as proof, their automatic reflex response would be to list down all the things that will make it unacceptable, like where did you get that, what kind of paper is that, what fonts did you use for that, it’s just a fabricated document, it’s not real, it was miraculously photoshopped, etc. So instead of verifying the evidentiary documents from the proper authorities or agencies, in order to know if it is authentic or not, they WILL AUTOMATICALLY REJECT IT. This is the BLUE PILL EFFECT. People who cannot accept the truth, automatically rejects the MESSAGE and SHOOTS THE MESSENGER.
One example of this is a Minister who boldly sent his emissary to me to personally tell me that he read my articles from the very beginning, telling me that he is updated with all my articles, then went on to tell me that he just wants to see the proof and then he will believe? BOOM! The Blind-o-Meter just went off the charts! So I just respectfully asked the Minister to send me counter-proof to categorically negate the evidences I have presented in all of my articles. Not just disbelief and resistance to accept my evidences, but proper documents that will invalidate the documents I have presented since I know that this certain Minister is well connected. Alas! That was the last time I’ve heard from him. *cricket sound in the background* I mean, for example, would it be so hard to see that the LTO registration of the high-end TOYOTA PRADO was indeed named after Bro. Radel G. Cortez? If not, then show proof coming from LTO that it is indeed not his. But I already got the answer to that straight from the horses mouth *pardon my french*. The TOYOTA PRADO costing Millions of pesos, was a gift from Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo to one of his trusted Sanggunian member as a sign of good-will. SO…. WHY DIDN’T THEY JUST “OFFICIALLY” SAY SO IN THE FIRST PLACE, instead of going around the bush and denying everything and pointing fingers at everyone and eventually coming out with their favorite excuse, YOU ARE REBELLING AGAINST THE CHURCH ADMINISTRATION AND SHOULD BE EXPELLED. END OF STORY. BUT THE QUESTIONS WERE NEVER ANSWERED. Same thing goes with all the other articles of corruption, lust for money and abuse of power of the Sanggunian. Oh and please don’t get me started with the way the FINANCE is being handled nowadays, disturbingly disarrayed! Just refer to the previous articles regarding the alarming changes in the finance regulations and how the church funds are being siphoned to the point of loaning Billions of pesos from different banks just to keep the church funds luxuriously lucrative for the men upstairs.
SO HOW DO WE UN-HACK THE MENTALITY PROGRAMMING IN THE MINDS OF THE BRETHREN?
Simple. You raise the level of argument. Present your evidences in a professional manner. You apply diplomacy. Avoid personal attacks. Do not apply baseless accusations that will render your argument gossip-like. NEVER force anybody to believe. And always remember that you are talking to another HUMAN BEING regardless how INHUMANE he may be towards you. Bear in mind that Social Media is a powerful platform, never treat it as a marketplace (Kaya huwag kang maging palengkero sa pakikipagdiskusyon), this is not the place for that kind of behavior.
Now, some people are upset at me for “attacking” Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo at the same time. But wait, when did I ever attack Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo? To the best of my memory, I have never attacked him personally in the articles that I have personally written. Yet they rationalize that I attack him simply because of the whole concept of “SUBMIT TO THE CHURCH ADMINISTRATION”. And by going against the corruption issues of the Sanggunian, who, by virtue of the Executive Minister, was placed into office, I am therefore going against the Executive Minister himself. Therefore they made it appear that nobody has any right to question the Sanggunian because it is tantamount to questioning the Executive Minister equivocally. What these people failed to understand is that using this line of LOGIC will ONLY prove to be counterproductive to their own conviction. Why? Because in effect, all church officers, by virtue of divine election, was placed into office by the Executive Minister. The District Ministers, the Resident Ministers, the Church Officers, Choir members, Finance Officers, CWS Teachers, SCAN Officer, even the locale gardener and watchman or Bantay Kapilya is in effect, the EXTENSION of the CHURCH ADMINISTRATION. THEREFORE…. you must then apply the same exemption to each and everyone of them by virtue of the office of the Executive Minister. Which only means that we cannot question any church officer AT ALL, eventhough he may be implicated or even guilty of corruption or abuses. In effect, they also cannot be replaced because they are part of the Church Administration and are not subject to investigation nor disciplinary actions. That will be the VORTEX loop that will imprison the very logic they embrace. So their line of thinking which exempts the Sanggunian from due process of investigation and disciplinary action is NON SEQUITUR. Holding the Sangunnian Ministers responsible for any grave misconduct, corruption, abuse of power and malversation of church funds IS NOT EQUAL to attacking the office of the Executive Minister. If they insist on it, then they should exempt everyone down to the very bottom of the Church Officers’ Roster, making no one accountable to any misdeeds. Let’s see where that puts them.
And still there are those people who also gets upset at me for being “too lenient” on the Executive Minister, sparing him from the Command Responsibilities of the abuses of his Sanggunian. There are even scandalizing issues going around against the Executive Minister which I do not conform to nor promote among the Defenders. They are even calling me an idiot for assuming that Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo is innocent from all of this. I just try to suck it all in and answer with a smile. Why? Because I just go back to the basics. Why am I here again? I’m here to expose the corruptions of the Sanggunian and their cohorts. I am against personal baseless tabloid-gossip attacks on anyone, especially the Executive Minister. I respect the office of the Executive Minister and the person occupying it. To prove whether he is guilty of anything or not is not up to me. So please don’t force me to condemn anybody. There are laws of the land which we are all bound to adhere, no exemptions. I have no personal grudge against Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, but my respect for him does not come with a gag order and a blindfold for me to ignore the atrocities of the Ministers in his Sanggunian. That is the level I am confronting. At first I felt that maybe this battle is a losing one, maybe the alleged corruption I am exposing will only prove to be insignificant with all the power and influence they yield. Sometimes I question myself, with the enormously powerful INC Sanggunian, who will dare question them and go against them, who has the right to inject them into an investigation that will ultimately hold them responsible for all their abuses. But because we never stopped with our devotional prayer, the answer of the Lord came in a form of a miracle, which only proves that God’s plan is always the perfect one. What was the answer? God allowed the Sanggunian to fall into UNBELIEVABLE ERRORS, BLUNDERS to be exact, that proved to be their Achilles’ heel, the loophole into their impenetrable armor, the wedge that tipped their towering pedestals.
Simply put, THEY BROKE THE LAW. The Sanggunian, being over-drunk with power, thought that they are indeed above the law. They sieged the Districts and Locales and even private houses of brethren, hordes of drooling wolves at the gates, confiscating the brethren’s properties like cell phones, laptops and other gadgets. This is theft! Breaking and illegal entry to private properties, cyber crimes, wire-tapping, illegal detention, kidnapping, violence against women and children… and the list goes on. Not only crimes against the brethren but even against the Ministers themselves. They may think they can get away with it inside the church influence by the power of “PAGPAPASAKOP SA PAMAMAHALA” (SUBMISSION TO THE CHURCH ADMINISTRATION), branding it as INTERNAL CHURCH PROCEDURES. But the brethren are NOT STUPID, they know their RIGHTS as human beings and as citizens of their country. We can always ask the Sanggunian to provide us with a copy of Church Procedures so we can look up where in it does it state that they have the right to kidnap, detain and coerce anybody under their “care”. This very grave mistake, whether sanctioned by the Executive Minister or not, is not for me nor anybody to say, but for our beloved Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo to prove or disprove in the proper forum- the court of law. This is not my doing, this is their own doing, and now they hide under the protective cloud of the term ‘“CHURCH ADMINISTRATION”. I didn’t want it to be this way, none of us expected it to go this way either. God planned it to be this way, so that He may use the Agencies and Authorities of the Law to rightfully expose the lies from the truth and hold accountable whoever crossed the line and committed the crimes. This is the miracle that God gave His people, making the impossible, POSSIBLE. Who would have thought in a hundred years, that the Church Administration and their cohorts will be held accountable for injustices against their very own members, CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. God’s people have long been victimized by the very same Administration that was put to care for His children. His people have been suffering for so long, silently begging the Lord for His mercy and divine help so that they can feel compassion and love once more, a feeling that is no longer present in most worship services, something that we so yearn and long for. And because God’s people have been anguishing over the corrupt leaders of the Sanggunian, God finally answered and set forth His hand that will pave the way for Justice to prevail and Truth to be revealed. Even the corrupt officials of the government cannot stop the will of God, and His wrath will be upon those who even thought they could fool Him and exploit his Church. By then, it will be all too late for the Corrupt and their Cohorts.
This will be etched in HISTORY, the day when David toppled Goliath to the ground.
So my beloved readers, please do not waste your energy on making personal attacks against the Executive Minister. He is not the enemy. The crimes being committed against God’s chosen people IS THE ENEMY. Strategically point your arrow to the enemy where he is vulnerable, then you would have successfully crushed your enemy…. WHO EVER HE (OR THEY) MAY BE.
There is absolutely no sense in getting killed over a domino piece at the end.
