Under the leadership of Mr. Rakesh Chharia, General Secretary, IMS Society & stewardship of Dr.Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, IMS Ghaziabad in collaboration with All India Federation of Tax Practitioners organized Seminar on GST, themed “Practical Aspects for Implementation of Goods & Service Tax on August 22nd, 2015 at 2:30 pm – 7 pm.

The Inaugural Session envisaged the Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp & felicitation of the Chief Guests, Guest of Honors & other dignitaries by Management, Mr Vidur Chharia & Director, IMS Ghaziabad.

The Chief Guest, Mr. PC Joshi, Senior Advocate, Mumbai High Court and Guest of Honors, Mrs. Neera Gupta, President, Delhi Sales Tax Bar Association, Mr. Vinay Aggarwal, President, Tax Bar Association Mr. Arvind Shukla, Chairman, AIFTP, North Zone spoke on the relevance and importance of GST and its positive impact on the economy of democratic nation.

The Seminar included Panel Discussions on GST segregated variedly in 2 technical sessions with speakers from pan India.

The 1st technical Session was chaired by K L Goyal Senior Advocate, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh & witnessed speakers like CA HL Madan, Eminent Chartered Accountant, Mukul Gupta Advocate, Ghaziabad, Director – Federal Mogul Goetze & Chairman, GST Committee – AIFTP.

The 2nd technical Session was chaired by Mr. KC Kaushik, Advocate, Supreme Court & Past Sec. General – SBA, Mr. Sudhir Sangal, Eminent Advocate, Delhi Sales Tax Bar Association, Mr. Sandeep Goyal, Advocate, Chandigarh, Exec Committee Member -AIFTP NZ, Mr. Prashant Raizada, National Head(Indirect Tax) & Partner BDO Consultants, Gurgaon & GST Committee Member, Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Chairman, Federation of All The 1st technical Session was chaired by Tax Bar Associations, Ghaziabad, Mr. OP Shukla, National Joint Sec – AIFTP and Mr. Harsh Pandey, Exec Member, North Zone.

The Seminar witnessed audience strength of more than 300 participants. The audience keenly listened to the expert comments of the speakers and was cleared of the queries pertaining of regulation of taxations in Corporates. It proved to be Win-win for all Stakeholders, advantageous aspects of GST in business-adoption & early-stage implementation.

The Seminar was moderated & commanded by Mr. Mukul Gupta, Chairman – GST Committee & National VP – AIFTP and Ms. Guneet Oberoi, Sr.Manager – Centre for Competency Development & Research, IMS Ghaziabad.
