Instagram is a top-notch photo and video sharing app. There are plenty of filters to give your favorite photo a hot look. Whenever I snap a stunning pic or capture an exciting video, I blast it out on this social networking app. Getting hearts, comments from my friends and loved ones as appreciation make me feel really cool just like you all.
However, at times some unacceptable comments from Instagram users make me really bad. That’s the reason why I have enabled Private Account (Profile icon → Settings → Private account) to allow only my existing followers to view my photos.
Taking a firm stance on harassment comments, Instagram has rolled out a new anti-harassment tool, which is available for both iOS and Android app. Here is how it works:
How to Filter Offensive and Inappropriate Comments in Instagram on iPhone/iPad
Step #1. Launch Instagram on your iPhone → Next, you have to tap on the profile tab at the bottom → Now, tap on the gear icon at the top right corner.
Step #4. Scroll down and tap on Comments which is under Settings.
Step #5. Now, turn on the switch next to “Hide Inappropriate Comments.”
Step #6. Add the keywords which you want to hide. As for instance, baby, honey or anything you don’t like.
Step #7. Finally, tap on Done at the top right corner to confirm the change.
That’s it! Later, if you happened to change your mind, toggle the switch next to “Hide Inappropriate Comments.”
The 9.3 version also features an enhancement for Stories to let you add color to your text by just swiping the colors above the keyboard. You can also tap and hold a circle to select a custom color.
