Apple now offers an amazing deal on some of its most advanced (and expensive) audio and video editing applications for Mac — but in order to qualify for the deep discounts that are currently up for grabs, you’ll have to meet certain criteria as outlined below.

Costing upwards of $500 combined on the Mac App Store, eligible college students, faculty, and staff can now score a bundle consisting of Apple’s most advanced editing software — including Logic Pro X, Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, Compressor 4, and MainStage 3 — for a total of just $199 for the whole kit and caboodle. That’s a fantastic deal by any measure, especially seeing as how Logic Pro X, in itself, is priced at $199 — which means you get all of the other apps, including the $299 Final Cut Pro X, free of charge.

Who can get Apple’s Education Bundle?

The ‘Education Bundle’, as Apple is referring to it, is being offered to eligible college students who can verify their University enrollment through UNiDAYS, a popular retail savings program. Additionally, University faculty and staff are eligible for the discounts, as well.

According to Engadget, the bundle is also being offered to K-12 education institutions, more than likely to allow instructors to teach their primary, secondary, and post-secondary students from the most comprehensive, full-featured suite of professional editing apps available. You can pick up the deal yourself via Apple’s official website and once you’ve made your purchase, Apple will send you an email containing a redemption code to unlock the five titles from the Mac App Store.
