“I’ve been in this business myself for 14 years, and ESQUIRE has been open for just over three years,” Dermot explains. “In my view, when you’re targeting for the formal side of boys and mens suits, it’s no longer a case of having a nice store, and good quality staff, and good quality suits, and hoping that people will walk in the door. Most people, especially for weddings, before they do anything will go to Google, and they’ll google flowers, dresses, suits anything.
“We needed a website that would get the business up there. We had an existing website, but it needed to be improved, and we also engaged with a professional photographer for the images, as we had new stock that we wanted to bring out, so what we have now is a brand new website. It shows off the various colour suits that we provide, and the fit, and how the suits will complement or match the bridesmaids’ and bride’s dresses. People can now see how important it is to have the right colour of neckwear for a suit, for example, whether at a wedding or a debs, or another formal occasion. The visuals are the main attraction, really,” Dermot explained.
“As most people with Google everything before they do anything, I reckon that without a website you are not at the races,” he stated.
“That is how it has helped us so far, by providing us with another arm to our business, beside relying on word of mouth, or hoping that we catch the attention of people driving by or walking by.
Dermot said he was very happy with the final website designed by the team here at AGENT Digital. “It can be tough to do. I had an image in my head, and it can be difficult to explain totally what you mean, but I am very happy with this site. And although I am not very IT-focused, and knew very little to start with, I did also learn quite a bit. I particularly like the way the site is linked with our Facebook page, and how we can actively use that to promote things such as sales in the shop, for example. And the site also gives us the capability of adding blog posts. All of this is great for the site, and for ESQUIRE, because it makes things so much less static. I’m very happy with the AGENT Digital team’s work.”
