We’re going to Berlin … again! After last year’s overwhelming feedback and many Icinga or soon-to-become Icinga users we decided to make it happen again. Tickets are still available, so hurry up and meet us at Icinga Camp Berlin on the 7th of March 2017 in Berlin at the Kalkscheune!

The event location is top notch, I promise. Not only for the audience with a huge space for talks but also speakers will certainly enjoy the atmosphere. And I bet there won’t be much time to breath but coffee breaks will be used to talk, exchange, discuss and what not. In the end you’ve also got the chance to meet many of the Icinga developers and ask your questions. Or just say hi and have a beer or a G&T with us ;-)

So – who’s speaking at Icinga Camp Berlin?

Next to the usual suspects from team Icinga we are proud to welcome community speakers, to start with: Werner Fischer from our fellow team sponsor Thomas-Krenn.AG who will dive into “10 tips for better hardware monitoring“. We’re also happy that Sven Nierlein, author of many community addons for Icinga, will join us with his talk about “Thruk, just another Icinga Web frontend”. The power of open source and public interfaces lies in flexibility with frontend and addons. See how Sven is using such to build Thruk on top of them.

Mattis Haase targets a topic most commonly asked and discussed: “How to write checks that don’t suck“.  Ever wanted to write a check plugin on your own and struggled with languages, formatting? Then you should just join his talk. If you want to learn more about end2end monitoring and how it can be achieved by example, make sure you don’t miss Francesco Melchiori from Würth Phoenix with “Alyvix: End user experience monitoring with Icinga”. Eduard Gueldner from Siemens AG takes the road to specific use cases on how to monitor a train. And the underlaying platform with many different services and plugins required. Learn more about that in his talk “Train IT Platform Monitoring“.

Bernd will start the day with a short introduction on the current state of Icinga, Eric is going to talk about our fancy Icinga Web 2, Thomas speeds up the words per minute count on his famous Icinga Director talk and Michael ends the day with giving an insight into current integrations for your Icinga stack.

Make sure to bookmark the timetable and register now … add a day or two and visit lovely Berlin.

If you cannot make it to Berlin in time, but are at Elastic{ON} in San Francisco, go for Icinga Camp San Francisco. Take the chance to join our fellow team members for a day full of #monitoringlove at our friends at Pivotal on the 6th of March 2017.

Blerim will provide an overview and future outlook on the current Icinga stack. This not only involves Icinga 2 and Icinga Web 2, but a heck of modules, integrations and what not. Markus will dive into the magic Icinga Director and its capabilities in small and large environments. Last but not least Thomas joins for integrating Icinga with the Elastic Stack.

We are still looking for speakers, please submit your talk now! :)

I would join both camps if I could. Now it is up to you – decide and join us :-)
