Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream

IcanGWP Review: My international readers might be wondering what this brand Drunk Elephant is about? Despite an intriguing name, it’s an excellent brand that debuted recently in the US market. The philosophy is to only put simple, natural ingredient that will not hurt us in anyway. Don’t expect a smooth silicone-y finish or pleasant scent. It’s not about icing on the cake. This product is truly capable of rehydrating dry flaky skin. Instead of targeting a huge number of skin problems, Lala retro focuses on moisturizing and restoring skin. It can turn the most stubborn dry skin around and it’s safe for sensitive skin.

Drunk Elephant Pekee Bar Review $28
This gentle, multi-tasking bar effectively removes makeup and impurities without stripping the skin of natural oils. The Pekee Bar™ clarifies, balances and moisturizes, while rinsing away pore-clogging surface debris, impurities and excess oil. Infused with a powerful blend of blueberry extract, marula oil and honey, the Pekee Bar™ tones and promotes moisture retention, elasticity, and firmness. Soothing aloe vera, hydrating sea plant extract and brightening licorice extract help to put this bar in a league of its own.
IcanGWP Review: If other cleansing bar soaps (usually with an alkaline high pH) leave your skin with that squeaky clean dry feel, this PeKee Bar won’t. The color is white and not shown in the image below. This is a mild but effective cleansing bar. It is like liquid on my face. It can remove stubborn sunscreen and leaves my skin so clean. It is a very good and luxury bar soap for my combination, acne prone skin. I would repurchase again in the future. Pekee Bar is recommended for the evening routine. The travel size product last you a pretty long time, so the price is good.
Drunk Elephant JuJu Bar $28
This mild, 3-in-1 bar deeply cleanses, exfoliates and heals without stripping skin of its essential oils. The healing formulation of thermal mud, 20% glycerin and bamboo powder delivers a wonderful creamy lather that dissolves unwanted oil, rinsing away pore-clogging surface debris and any impurities. It refines skin texture, brightens skin clarity, and over time, minimizes the look of pores. The JuJu Bar™ is totally fragrance and detergent free and formulated with skin-friendly ingredients designed to calm and feed the skin while promoting moisture retention.
I can GWP Review: I haven’t touched this product yet. It’s more exfoliating than the PeKee bar and I will reserve it for the summer months!

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum Review $90
This 12% glycolic serum for night refines and resurfaces skin by gently dissolving the glue that holds dead skin cells to the surface and increasing collagen production.
I can GWP review: It is a good mix of 12% AHA and 1% BHA night serum. It glides on smooth and doesn’t leave any shine. This serum has a lightweight gel texture. It made my face warm for a few minutes from the AHA exfoliation. It works! This product contains vitamin C and Marula oil. There are so many conflicting review. Do yourself a favor and test it out in-store or grab a sample. You may like this mix of acid on your skin.
Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Defense SPF 30 Review $30
This broad-spectrum, cell-energizing sun block is loaded with potent antioxidants to fight free radicals, while delivering powerful UV protection and anti-aging benefits.
I can GWP Review: I have tried this sunscreen from the sunscreen sample bag from Sephora. The white cream is really thick and smells like strong chemical. It leaves white cast. It is not greasy though. It’s a dry finish formula. I applied it on my arms during the baseball game. It works wonder for hours! A lot of people have a major issue: it pills. I can’t tell because I only tried it out on my arms. There are tons of goodies including Vitamin C in this product.
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil Review $72

I can GWP review: Want to see the ingredient list? 100% Unrefined Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula) Kernel Oil. Yes, it’s a pure oil, no color, fragrance or preservative, that’ it! This yellow oil has a light texture. This oil is fast absorbing, nutritive, and soothing for all skin types including sensitive skin (except oily skin). It contains powerful antioxidants that help on sun damage, and reduce the signs of aging. If you have normal skin, dry skin or sensitive skin that tolerate coconut oil well, this is a nice item to try.
DRUNK ELEPHANT B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel Review
An antiaging vitamin B5 gel that replenishes, brightens, and improves the appearance of skin texture and tone while delivering intense moisture.

This lightweight, hard-hitting gel is ideal for all skin types and maximizes the benefits of a daily moisturizer. IcanGWP: Finally, Drunk Elephant offers some product for combination/oily skin! It doesn’t contain “Marula Seed Oil” like the others. Actually, this water-based moisturizer is an oil-free, silicone-free, fragrance-free and cruelty-free product! It leaves some sheen on my skin. Otherwise, so much to love. The average review is 4.2. I would not recommend this product for dry/very dry skin, it’s not enough moisturizer.
DRUNK ELEPHANT C-Firma Day Serum Review
A newly reformulated, refreshing gel formula featuring a clinically effective vitamin C and ferulic acid combination to correct past UV damage while preventing additional future damage for a youthful appearance.
This new and improved C-Firma™ formulation has been thickened slightly to improve the overall user experience as it relates to application and texture, while the updated airless pump prevents the high percentage of vitamin C from losing its efficacy. The result is incredible radiance and luminosity.
IcanGWP: This Drunk Elephant contains 15% ascorbic acid and ferulic acid like famous Skinceuticals C E Ferulic. Its smell is a little bit better. Their ingredients are superb and suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. Combination/oily skin type may prefer lighter serum. Highly recommend!! The average review on Sephora’s site is 4.2. FYI – it’s a good idea to finish it within the recommend period and dump it once the color is changed.
Quick Take:
I have been coveting drunk elephant products for quite some time. I ended up purchase only one product (may be because of the name JuJu & PeKee!). The comedogenic rating of Marula oil is quite high (almost as high as coconut oil). It appears in almost all products from Drunk Elephant. It’s such a fantastic brand if you do not have acne prone skin. My next items that I am eyeing on: Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Eye Serum and Drunk Elephant Lippe. There’s a bunch of awesome sets at Drunk Elephant @ Sephora and Drunk Elephant @ B-glowing. Too bad they never put Lippe and Eye serum together. I am glad I can try these highly recommended skincare from Drunk Elephant. They worth the high price-tag. They are expensive because of the ingredients.
