What I thought?
I think that Ulta is testing out the US market. Last year we saw 1 prestige beauty box ($25 and later on sale around $17 as I recalled) and 2 haircare sampler boxes (under $10). Now they are offering two drugstore beauty boxes under $10. These two boxes are great way to try new skincare items from drugstore. They are good size too.
Sadly these drugstore boxes are much more successful compared to prestige beauty box from Ulta (as they sold out in less than 1 week). Are you really excited about their boxes?
I want them to find something between e.g., a mix of prestige and drugstore boxes because that is the Ulta unique selling point. Right? They are the only well-known online retailer that carries both. It would be awesome if they can put new L’Oreal mascara, NYX eyeshadow palette in the same box as Tony Moly, Urban Decay or Becca for $10! They may be considering Ulta beauty box subscription like Sephora and Macy’s. What do you think? What are you looking for from new US beauty box?

A: We’re glad to hear you want to share PLAY! by SEPHORA with friends! Unfortunately, at this time you can only purchase a subscription for yourself after having received an invitation to the program.
Q: Do I need to do anything after I subscribe to receive my box?
A: We’d love to learn a little about you! After signing up, be sure to complete your PLAY! PROFILE. Your box will still arrive if you don’t, but doing so allows us to choose samples that are best suited to your beauty needs.
Q: How do I update my subscription details?
A: You can make adjustments to your shipping address or billing information by calling Customer Service at 1–877–SEPHORA. Starting May 1, 2016, your information must be changed before the first of the month to affect the current month’s box. For example, if you would like to update your subscription details for the May box, you must do so by April 30, 2016.
RETURNS AND CANCELATION
Q: Can I return or exchange items from a box?
A: Products included in a PLAY! by SEPHORA box are handpicked each month, so we are unable to offer returns or exchanges on the box or the items. If something is missing or damaged, please refer to the questions below.
Q: I received a box with missing samples. What should I do?
A: Please let us know! Give us a call at 1-877-SEPHORA so we can correct the problem.
Q: I didn’t receive this month’s box. What should I do?
A: Please check your box’s tracking record, which is provided with each box’s shipment confirmation email. If you are still unable to locate your box, please call us at 1-877-SEPHORA so we can determine a solution.
Q: What is the cancelation policy?
A: You may cancel your subscription at any time by calling Customer Service at 1–877–SEPHORA. Starting May 1, 2016, cancelations must be made before the first of the month to affect the current month’s box. If you cancel after the first of the month, you will be charged for and you will receive that month’s PLAY! by SEPHORA product box, which will be your final one. For example, if you would like to cancel and not receive the May box, you must do so by April 30, 2016. There is no cancelation fee, and we’ll be sorry to see you go!

Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Nothing! It is included in your monthly subscription fee.
Q: Where does PLAY! by SEPHORA ship?
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.
Q: When will I receive my box?
A: All PLAY! by SEPHORA boxes should arrive between the third and fourth week of each month. You will receive an email when your box ships, so you can track it to your doorstep.
Q: I have Sephora FLASH. Does this affect my shipment?
A: Currently, FLASH membership does not apply to shipping for PLAY! by SEPHORA.

PAYMENT
Q: When will I be billed for my subscription?
