Hello!

First, being on an English speaking forum, I'd like to appologise for my poor English.

I have been reading the forum for quite some time before deciding to register and ask some questions.

The reason to start a new thread is because I'm thinking about a retrofit of my headlights, plus I've never done it before.

.Most (if not all) of the pics (thumbnails) I'm going to post are taken from the Internet.

There will be some links to sites selling retrofit parts, but I'm not connected with them in any way, just using the information.

I hope I won't violate any rules. If I do, please tell me.

So, my car is Renault Laguna 3 GT, year 2008.

For the last couple of years the light output constantly deteriorated. My previous car also had factory xenon lights (reflector) , but the light on the road was a lot better.

Also, the car had a rather small accident on a parking lot, A young girl pushed it with her car while maneuvering. She was honest enough to wait for me to come out of the shop.

At first I didn't see any problem, apart from the unclipped front bumper. Beceuse of the longer summer days, a few days later, I found that the left headlight was turned.:

Here's how the headlight of same car looks like:

They have auto leveling and cornering function.

Got some pics of the internals:

These are not my pictures. Someone brave enough open them for cleaning.

I'd like to change the projectors, but don't know what will fit. The OEM look like Valeo (the russians call it Valeo New or Valeo 2). Please tell me the model.

I found a russian site selling adapter brackets for Hella R, but halogen.:

Valeo Projector dimensions:

So, what do you think would fit if I make new brackets? The pin on the upper side is

It should be able to turn inside of the cornering mechanism illustrated on the above mentioned russian site?

I'd like too keep the cornering function and the D1S type of bulbs and harness. I just ordered new original Osram bulbs to see if they'd help improving the light output.

I wish I could but a pair of RX350s, but the look a bit large.

Or just put new OEM Valeo projectors?

As a long(er) shot I'm thinking about dedicated high beam halogen projectors in the place of DRLs, but the mounts don't look sturdy.

I'm not in a hurry and still not 100% sure that I'm going to do all, but looks like a fun project for the near future.

Instead of opening my headlight I'll most probably by second hand ones, because it take very long time.

Thanks in advance.
