According to the most recent studies more than 50% of all men have experienced erectile dysfunction, or ED, at some time or another. Nearly 40% of men between 35-45 have had to face the condition, and by the time you are over 65, you may be joining as many as 70% of your contemporaries who complain of ED, usually accompanied by a loss of libido or sex drive.
Common Illnesses Related to Erectile Dysfunction
While there can be many causes of ED from stress to diet, there are certain medical conditions that may be linked to erectile dysfunction. Here are the five most common.
Heart Disease – Heart disease, and its related conditions high-blood pressure and stroke, are almost always the result of decreased blood flow due to the build-up of plaque in the coronary arteries. Good blood flow is also essential to erectile function. ED could be an early indicator of coronary artery disease, and men with cardiovascular disease are at greater risk for developing ED.
Diabetes – Similar to cardiovascular disease, diabetes is also a condition which can involve loss of circulation, and impaired nerve stimulation. Again, good circulation, and obviously, sensitivity are essential to get and maintain an erection. Furthermore, men with diabetes tend to be obese, and have high-blood pressure, both of which can negatively impact erectile function.
Dementia – This one may surprise you, but recent research seems to indicate there could be a link between ED and dementia. A 2015 study, found that men with ED are almost twice as likely to develop dementia than men who do not have ED. The researchers were not able to definitively say that one causes the other, and more research is needed to determine exactly what the link may be.
Prostate Cancer – Prostate cancer itself does not cause ED. However, men with prostate cancer often develop ED, not from the cancer, but the treatments they may be undergoing to fight the disease.
Liver Disease – Studies have shown that a large degree of men with hepatitis, or other conditions that effect the liver, have ED. Doctors believe this is because of the drop in the production of testosterone such conditions can cause.
Latest Erectile Dysfunction Treatments
If you are dealing with ED as the result of one of these conditions, you may not be able to use some of the more common ED cures, such as oral ED medications.
For example, Viagra and the other popular ED prescription drugs are not recommended for men with diabetes, high-blood pressure, or heart disease.
The good news is there are new ED treatments for these men, or any man that is seeking a drug free solution to ED!
One is our proprietary Gains Enhancement®. We introduced the Gains Enhancement® several years ago. Since then we have helped thousands of men of all ages to have their best sex lives ever. Doctors from all around the country have come to our office to receive certified training in the use of this remarkable male enhancement procedure.
The Gains Enhancement® is a Platelet Rich Plasma treatment for ED. That means it uses your own blood to give you bigger, stronger, and more sustainable erections. And, the growth factors and specialized healing proteins in the Gains Enhancement®, not only improve your ability to get an erection, they can actually lengthen your penis!
More recently we introduced the GAINSwave™.
For decades, technology similar to the GAINSwave™ has been used successfully in Europe, where it is known as “shockwave therapy.” However it is very new to the U.S. In fact, we are the only ones in your area currently offering this medically proven male enhancement treatment.
Blood vessels in your penis break down over time. The GAINSWave™ uses high frequency acoustical waves to open up old blood vessels, and to stimulate the formation of new vessels. The resulting improved blood flow, helps any man, and not just those with ED, to obtain stronger and more sustainable erections.
Unlike the shockwave therapy for ED used in Europe, which can be painful, the acoustical waves of the GAINSWave™ are practically painless. The GAINSwave is the only acoustical wave device approved by the FDA for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
Contact our offices today to see if one of these remarkable treatments can give you the male enhancement you have been looking for!
You can find out a lot more about erectile dysfunction, sexual wellness and male enhancement in Dr. Gaines’ new book, The Erection Connection.
