There are many reasons why I want to move to a bigger place eventually. First, more space for myself. More space for my plants, a bigger kitchen to enjoy cooking, more storage space. But also finally some space for a String shelf system. I have wanted one of these for a long time now. But alas, the lack of space was a constant hindrance. But one day, I tell you, one day I will have a fabulous String shelf system in my home.
I don’t think I have to go into details about String, right? It is widely known and very popular throughout the world. Interior lovers admire the String shelf system for its versatility paired with the Scandi coolness and design aesthetic. Moreover, the String shelf is a real design icon. The Swede Nils Strinning designed the first shelf back in 1949. Ever since the String family has grown and so has its popularity pitchforking it into the realm of mid-century design classics.
Today the String shelf system comes in a wide array of shelf options, finishings, colours, materials. In fact, the String system has gone beyond shelves and features office furniture too. From the small sized Pocket system to entire shelf units with integrated desks and cabinets – String has become the epitome of sleek design for any style preference. String shelves perfectly work in both minimalist homes as well as eclectic interiors.
My personal favorites are all options with walnut wood and white panels. But today I am sharing the latest String products and stylings with you. With the help of designers Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström, String is launching new metal shelves, functional accessories, a bowl shelf in felt, and cabinets with sliding doors. Equally, String is launching three new colours for the Pocket shelf: Sand, Burgundy, and Mustard.
